EB was great! He was friendly, knowledgeable and was happy to step in to help us. We came in late(8pm) and he stayed thru 10:30pm to see that our sale went thru. High pressure sales... what's to like. I purchased a pre-owned "certified" car from this dealership. The two sales people I was dealing with didn't make my experience a good one. Z, was as I purchased a pre-owned "certified" car from this dealership. The two sales people I was dealing with didn't make my experience a good one. Z, was as cheesy as can be for a salesperson, "there's my guy" she said as she saw me in the dealership for our scheduled appointment. Her boss (or sales manager) who's name I can remember was your typical slimey sales guy, and the one dealing out the high pressure. Z was just going along with it and she didn't have my back at all. She just kept telling me I was getting a great deal. They kept throwing all sorts of numbers at me and telling me this is why the car is the price it is and how I was getting such a great deal and doing a great job of confusing me. I suck at buying cars, in the end its my fault cause I could have just walked out. But I didn't. I think I paid about 2k more than I should have and in the end its on me. As soon as I agreed to purchase the car I never saw the slimey guy again (shocker). After the purchase I had to go to the dealership 3 times for service stuff that was agreed upon in the sale of the car. During the first visit the service tech sent me a video of the car and what he was doing (alignment) and check a few other things. This was really cool and it let me know what was going on with my car. I needed my tires rotated and a new air filter. I thought when I purchased a certified vehicle that would have been taken care of... not here. I also worked with Dillon (he has since left) in the service center on my first visit who said, "I'll take care of it for you" referring to why my tires weren't rotated and the air filter was bad. I never heard back from again. I then called back a week later after not hearing from anyone, I dealt with Sam. Sam was great at first, he said he look into it and even called me back later that day to let me know he was still trying to get some answers for me. That was the last time I heard from Sam. So the second time I went I had to talk to a manager. The Service manager Doug was nice and rotated my tires for free, something that the car should have had done before I purchased it. I also have to say I dealt with another sales manager who I forget his name as well (he is Bosnian) who helped me get the air filter replaced and was super nice and very helpful. I Wish I dealt with him, I may have had a better experience. Car buying shouldn't be as stressful as this, I will not go back to this dealership or recommend it to anyone. Mike More

Shady Business!! DO NOT GO HERE! I went to the Southtowne VW dealership to look at a 2019 Tiguan to lease because my lease was up for my 2015 Jetta. The entire time I was there I fel I went to the Southtowne VW dealership to look at a 2019 Tiguan to lease because my lease was up for my 2015 Jetta. The entire time I was there I felt an overwhelming pressure to decide that very day to get in a new lease. The saleswoman was very persistant in getting me to buy that day by promising me things. One of the promises that was made was for them to cover all expenses for my 2015 Jetta! I asked multiple times if this was going to happen and they confirmed it would. So I decided to get a new lease with them which was the 2019 Tiguan. 2 months later I am still receiving letters in the mail that I owe money on my 2015 Jetta. So I tried calling VW Southtowne.... no one would talk to me. I have been trying to call for 2 weeks now. I have left messages for multiple people and no one has called me back. I then called VW credit to see what the charges were for and they were for overall damages and a spare key that was never turned in (spare key is $169.00). Things just keep getting better with this place because I had already given them my spare key.... So with all the damages and spare key costs it totals to around $600. After I had already put down $1500 for my new lease. This place is a scam!!!! All they care about is a sale and getting money from you. I highly recommend going anywhere else besides this place. Maddi L. from Southtowne is the only person that took the time to get back to me she is their best employee. She took the time to explain to me the miscommunication of costs. But after everything I still had to pay $317 out of my own pocket that was the best they could do for me. More

Buyer beware!! Shady business practices...look elsewhere. I purchased a used vehicle here on September 11 of this year, against my better judgement after reading the reviews. This is my experience-please don' I purchased a used vehicle here on September 11 of this year, against my better judgement after reading the reviews. This is my experience-please don't make the same mistake I made. I was in the market for something very specific and Volkswagen SouthTowne had just what I wanted-from the make, model, year-even the color. After taking it for a couple test drives (we visited multiple dealers, but came back here because it was just what we were looking for), we were sitting in the parking lot with the sales person, Stan, and noticed a burning smell. He also noticed it and suggested having Service look it over. The service department came back and said that it was just the smell of the heaters turning on for the season, no big deal. So we bought the truck. That night, we turned on the seat heaters and the smell returned-strongly. The light on the heater button flickered a few times, then shut off altogether. The next morning we returned to VW and were told that our warranty wouldn't kick in for a month, but that it would be covered and to come back then to have it repaired. So we waited a month. When we returned, we were told that a work order was placed and were sent over to Toyota to have the seat repaired. Toyota let us know that the warranty wouldn't cover the problem because the seats were after market. But they diagnosed the issue and found that the wiring was all wrong and was being held together by electrical tape-which was melting and causing the smell. It would need to be rewired. VW refused to cover the cost of the repair, or do the repair themselves. First they said it was because we bought the vehicle over two months ago and had we brought this in immediately, they would have fixed it. (I reminded them that we had brought it back the next morning and were sent away to wait for the warranty to kick in.) Then they claimed that because it was a used vehicle, they don't take responsibility for it. (Had the service department even LOOKED at the issue when we first brought it up to them, they would have easily seen the problem. But they brushed it off as just the heaters turning on for the season.) It just feels like excuses to get out of doing the right thing. Bottom line? They refuse to help us-so we have to pay someone else to rewire the seats, otherwise risk them catching on fire. More
