Kyle Spencer, my Sales Consultant, is extremely congenial and friendly, not to mention fully knowledgeable of his products. At no time during the test drive or the negotiation did I feel as though I was being railroaded or taken advantage of. This may be the first time in a long history of car shopping for me. Speaking of the negotiation (and I hesitate to even use the word negotiation, at all times it felt far more like a simple discussion of options), I cannot express how impressed I was by both Rich and Jill, who handled the financing and warranty aspects of the process, respectively. Neither tried to overwhelm me with numbers - the discussion was at all time open and honest, and I always felt that my expectations and best interests were being honored. Clearly a car dealership is in the business of making money, but a fair, equitable arrangement that worked for both parties was obviously the goal. Kyle was exceptional and went out of his way to make sure all my needs were being met. Once the deal was struck, he had my bright new car, fully gassed and freshly washed and cleaned, ready and waiting for me. This kind of service, honesty, transparency, respect, and fairness are the reasons why I would recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new VW without hesitation. The next time I'm in the market for a new car Prime VW, and Kyle Spencer, will be my first and last stop. More
Steve went the extra mile for me. I was going to purchase another car. But having 2 beetles before. I decided to go with a new beetle. He got me in my price range and was a pleasure to deal with. He has always reconized me when I come in for service. He will say hello and usually chat awhile. He is very easy to talk to. Last service I had was with my cd player. The radio was replaced with no questions asked. I made an appointment on Monday I was in that friday with a new radio all under an hour. The people @ prime volkswagen are really there to satisfy you and treat you like family. That is the way it should be! Thanks Steve and all the people involved for making my purchase and service such a pleasure! More
My wife and I were in the market for new cars this year, my wife in March and me recently. Our experience in buying my wifes '08 Jetta with Steve and Rich in March led me to call Rich last week. I had looked at two other vehicles but called Rich to ask what they had available. I never thought he would come back with such a great offer and was floored that an '08 Passat was in my reach. Steve and Rich are both very professional, respectful and really want the buying experience to be good on both ends. My wife and I highly recommend this dealership and the two gentlemen we dealt with in buying two automobiles this year. Oh yes, the service department is really good as well. More
When my mother and I first went to Prime Volkswagen we had no intent of purchasing a vehicle that day, we just wanted to look around. I was impressed that Steve introduced himself to me as well as my mom, where at other dealerships they wouldn't because it was assumed that my mother was looking for a car, not me. He was extremely polite and interested in finding out what I was looking for, not what he wanted to sell me. He showed me a car that met every expectation I had set and soon I was brought into his office to discuss payment options. He gave me several choices that could work for my financial situation and let me choose what I thought was the best for me. I was not pushed in any particular direction, which was nice. Steve was a wonderful salesman and I'm happy I got to deal with him. More
I had previously leased a VW Jetta and was coming near the end of my lease term. I had taken my Jetta in for service and was curious about the new Tiguan. I was met in the parking lot by Stephanie and she the end of my lease term. I had taken my Jetta in for service and was curious about the new Tiguan. I was met in the parking lot by Stephanie and she proceeded to show me the Tiguan and take me for a test drive. While we were discussing the car, the service person came over and told me my Jetta was going to require some work that would be expensive. Stephanie was very helpful in leading me to my decision to lease the Tiguan. She brought over Derek the finance manager and as I was on a time limit did an outstanding job at getting me in my new Tiguan. I would reccommend Prime VW, Stephanie, and the whole team to anyone who was looking to purchase a VW. More
After 13 happy years, my beloved Integra GS-R was showing its age; after much research I decided a Rabbit was the next car for me. Prime VW responded to my email inquiry in 90 minutes(!) and I ran up from Y its age; after much research I decided a Rabbit was the next car for me. Prime VW responded to my email inquiry in 90 minutes(!) and I ran up from York to see and drive a Rabbit; thanks to the efficiency of Stephanie Chambers, I drove home in the very car I'd come to see. Now envision those virtues you might appreciate in an auto salesperson: probably you'd list honesty/integrity, clarity, intelligence, technical knowledge, courtesy, pleasant demeanor and appearance, genuine friendliness and a conciliatory, respectful approach to the business of bargaining. I can attest to Stephanie's meeting all those criteria, plus the equally important fact that she reflects the corporate ethos at Prime: the whole enterprise is open, accommodating and conciliatory. I was treated with respect and patience; when I declined offers of added warranty coverage, fabric protections and so on (and on), I was not subjected to any high-pressure tactics. I've given the "price" category a Four rating because the finaly price was fairly close to the MSRP - but that's a reflection of the car's well-deserved popularity. Selling Rabbits is a dealer's delight, I'm sure. Yet even though they were clearly in the driver's seat, so to speak, the people at Prime VW treated me respectfully and courteously - especially Stephanie Chambers. More
Steve pro actively checks in to make sure my vehicle is serviced when appropiate. Steve is always one step ahead of me he always has answer before i even get to ask the question. He is extremly knowledgeable about the vehicle and the vehicle features. He also is very responsive, he always returns my call within a couple hours of me leaving him a message. Exceptional. Steve is very courteous. Overall the purchase of my 08 jetta has been pleasent beyond words of which Steve has contributed to a great degree. More
People need to stop complaining about the car buying experience or they need to buy all of their cars from Steve Wilson at Prime Volkswagen. From concept to execution, Volkswagen is a solid brand with “fun” amenities keeping with the technological times and Prime Volkswagen and specifically Mr. Wilson are just as up-to-date. I found the EXACT car I wanted for what I would consider to be an excellent deal. Mr. Wilson helped turn my old yucky car (which was upside down on loan vs. value) into a brand new, perfect, no problems, and of course beautiful, white Jetta. The Prime Team is friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. I felt like I was buying a car from a friend – with one added bonus, a stellar factory warranty! Anyone in the market for a new or used car would be silly to not at the very least explore a Volkswagen. Everyone would be silly for not purchasing their Volkswagen at Prime Volkswagen. More
Being recently divorced and in need of a new vehicle I was a little apprehensive about purchasing a new car. I had been to dealers before and although I was not alone at the time, I vividly remembered the was a little apprehensive about purchasing a new car. I had been to dealers before and although I was not alone at the time, I vividly remembered the pressure and back and forth haggling that went on in our attempts to purchase a car. I did my homework on rates and the vehicles I was interested in and took off to a couple of dealers in the Portland area. I was not at all happy with the way I was approached or talked to. I did not feel they listened to my concerns or needs. I also felt very pressured to buy my car that day or as they told me "You won't get this deal tomorrow!" I left confused and upset. When talking to one of my friends about my experience they told me about their dealings with Steve Wilson at Prime Volkswagen in Saco. I had heard Volkswagens we very reliable and SAFE cars. I went online and did some research, loved the looks and information about the Passat and went to Prime Volkswagen to take a test ride. Mr. Wilson was actually the one who greeted me. He was Kind , knowledgeable about not only the Passat but the two other models he showed me. I never felt a bit of pressure and he was courteous about my financial concerns and questions. He made it possible for me to actually afford the Model I really wanted but felt was financially out of my reach....and he actually followed up with me a few days later,, and oh I forgot, he left a treat in the backseat for my dog which he had seen the previous day. Not that is outstanding customer service. I will be purchasing the rest of my cars from the Prime Motor Group and Mr. Wilson. Linda Bowser More
I went in to just look and jason came outside and greated me. Very nice man that showed he care about getting me into a car that was right for me and told me that if i didnt like the car he would not sell th me. What other dealer does as long as they get a sale? The other thing that prime does is the salesman have responsibiltys to us as consumers! Who does that!!!? Well after jason was talking to me for a little bit we went inside and we ended up finding the car that was best for me that i fell in love with! The price was right but i could not get financed with no money down so i will be back for sure to buy that car and to do buisness with jason because he does really care! And if you go in and ask for him i would bet anything on it he will really take care of you and really got to bat for you to get the best deal as he did for me! I would recomend anyone to go in and just visit if your thinking about trading or buying! More
