I was interested in a GTI, but wasn't sure if I might prefer a Jetta TDI. Joe was very pleased to have me test drive various combinations of automatic and manual of each of these cars. He seemed to actively enjoy the whole process...no pressure at all. Before I left I put down a deposit on a manual GTI that was in stock...a terrific car. On the way home as the euphoria was wearing off, I realised in the long run I would prefer the identical car but with an automatic. Deposit was returned immediately with no issues. I later returned to see if they could find me an automatic GTI...walked in the door and was greeted by Mike who indicated "no problem at all". Two days later I was driving home in exactly what I wanted. All of the staff were considerate, helpful and friendly. The negotiation process was quite painless. I made the process a bit more complicated since I was giving my daughter my old car and using her's as a trade in, but they made it very easy. More

Other than taking longer than necessary to find someone on the floor to help me, my recent experience in buying a certified used VW was positive, top to bottom. Last day of vacation our 2006 Jetta had a major break down and was towed to Prime VW. They immediately took the car in and put it up on lift and mechanic located problem. Flywheel was gone. Major problem: not in stock, two different flywheels, Price tag $2100.00, up to 4 days longer stay. Added expense big shock to us. Mr Dempsey arranged for a rental and we left to pick it up. When we could slow down and think we rationalised that the car has 87000 miles, a 2100 dollar bill against it, and a service due in two months for a timing belt and another $800.00 so we went back and talked to Mr. Dempsey. He treated us very frankly and straight out never giving me the feeling of being taken advantage of. We made the deal and in 2 hours we were free of the problems and driving our new Jetta to dinner. We both seriously believe that this was the best car dealership we have ever experianced in our entire adult lives. We have since gone back and thanked them and had to call them from home for a forgotten item and their responses remained as upbeat and helpfull as anyone could possible hope for. We both agree we will most likely drive back the 300 miles from our home to buy our next vehicle. More

I was very hesitant to buy a new car, however, Joe and the others involved made this experience as comfortable for me as they could. We spent several hours at the dealership and came away believing that this dealership cares about the service offered to its customers. There is some work needed to be done and Steve Wilson has called to arrange an appointment. You can't get better than that. The dealership in MA referred us to VW of America, who in turn referred us back to the dealership. Simply stated it is a pleasure to work with people who think resonably. We have always had german made cars and were considering leaving our Audi and VW choices for some other make of automobiles. Richard & Shirley Beston More
