I bought my son a certified pre-owned Jetta in October of 2021 from VW Clear Lake. We were told, in writing, that the tires were being replaced while it was in the shop getting inspected and having the wi of 2021 from VW Clear Lake. We were told, in writing, that the tires were being replaced while it was in the shop getting inspected and having the windshield replaced. Fast forward to yesterday when we took it to have the tires rotated and insured before he goes off to school. We were informed that the tires need to be replaced because of the amount of wear on them & that they were the original tires on the car. They were never replaced as we were told by the salesperson. We bought the car with 34k miles. He has put 5k miles on it. The dealership won’t return our calls, and they put us on never ending holds. I went up there today and the “Customer Service Manager” acted like they did nothing wrong. We paid extra for a certified pre-owned car with the understanding that the condition was “like new”. The tires were 5,000 miles away from needing to be replaced. That is far from “like new”, and they flat out lied. Given my previous experience at purchase as well as my interactions over the last 2 days, I have little to no confidence they will make this right. All we want is for them to replace the tires as we were told. More
We went there to get our brakes looked at and once we got the quote to review what needed to be fixed we realized that the service center was very overpriced so we decided to take the car for another quote b the quote to review what needed to be fixed we realized that the service center was very overpriced so we decided to take the car for another quote but found out the hard way there would be a $200 diagnostic fee since we were not getting work done from the dealership. This $200 fee was not discussed upfront when we dropped off the car so we had to resort to "fixing" the cheapest item on the quote for a A/C re-charge which was about $140. I'm very disappointed with the way this was handled. I hope the management improves on communication with customer upfront. More
