I had the absolute worst experience ever at Brandon Volkswagen. They were completely rude and in the end totally screwed me over. I would highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. They were al Volkswagen. They were completely rude and in the end totally screwed me over. I would highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. They were all arrogant men who worked there. Worst experience I've had with any car dealership. Needless to say I will NEVER return to that dealership, nor will I send any business their way. More
Found a car at Brandon VW through an internet ad. Met Chris Hough at the dealer and he was very energetic and helpful. We were test driving the car within 5 minutes of arriving at the dealer. The car was Chris Hough at the dealer and he was very energetic and helpful. We were test driving the car within 5 minutes of arriving at the dealer. The car was used as-is, but Chris worked to get many problems resolved. Management was difficult to deal with, but after multiple emails, they resolved the problems to my satisfaction. After the sale, Chris answered emails after-hours for questions & parts I needed to get the car in top shape. The biggest issue I had with the dealer was the 150 point inspection was not very thorough. I found later that a few simple items, such as fluids not topped off, and the windshield washer pump was seized, so I couldn't clean bugs off the windshield on the way home. However, the detail was spotless, and got a full tank of premium before leaving. Chris was great to work with, would definitely buy another car from him. No pressure and very committed to customer service! More
Brandon VW internet sales department quoted me a great price on a new car. I emailed them several times to be sure the price and car was all worked out. Brandon VW sent me a written quote and I put a depo price on a new car. I emailed them several times to be sure the price and car was all worked out. Brandon VW sent me a written quote and I put a deposit on what should have been my new car. I secured financing via my bank, picked up a cashiers check, and then called the dealer to let them know that I was on the way. They said that the car was ready for pick up and I headed to Brandon. 20 minutes later the dealer called and said they had made a mistake on the price and they were unable to sell me the car for that price. I informed them that I had a written quote and had just spoken with steve, I also let them know that I had already left work early to pick up the check. The dealer told me that they had made a pricing mistake and the car would cost me $1000 more that what we agreed on. The practice of getting a consumer to commit to a car, passing on other offers, taking there deposit and then switching the deal 20 minutes before arrival is deplorable. I have never attempted to shop at a business that operated with so little integrity. Beware of this dealership and there business practices. More
I am going to leave the salesman name off this review as he seemed to be trying but, as with most VW dealers around here, trying to come to an agreement on a deal with these folks was frustrating to say the he seemed to be trying but, as with most VW dealers around here, trying to come to an agreement on a deal with these folks was frustrating to say the least. What was said in an email one day was either ignored or forgotten the next day. I could not trust anything they had to say based on my attempts to get them to pin down a price on a car...they were full of the "last weekend of the month" type salesman jargon and other common attempts at manipulating discussions when the time came to get final numbers. I never did visit the dealer because it was painfully obvious they were trying to find some way to squeeze extra money out of a possible transaction. VW's having some of the better looking cars, in my opinion, but they seem to have the worst dealers. More
I wanted this to be a very positive review, and up until the moment we saw our certified pre-owned car, everything had been going perfectly: After finding what seemed like the perfect car online through a s the moment we saw our certified pre-owned car, everything had been going perfectly: After finding what seemed like the perfect car online through a salesman named Steve at Brandon VW, we had put down a deposit and flown in. When we asked about potential condition issues with the car, Steve had promised us that it was in pristine shape and reminded us that the car had a 2 year warranty. Steve delivered a final "out the door" price in writing, promising that we would come down and pick up a perfectly detailed car with a full tank of gas. We came down with our cashier's check in hand certain we'd be getting a used car that was in perfect condition. Unfortunately, there were a number of cosmetic issues that were not disclosed either by Steve in his numerous conversations on the phone or on the online ad: two 6" scrapes where the paint was entirely removed, a cracked taillight cover, stained upholstery, and the radio antenna was missing. The car had not been detailed - there was a wad of gum stuck to the back of one seat, and when we turned it on, we discovered only 1/3 of a tank of gas. Worst of all, the final bill of sale came in $500 too high. We asked Steve for help, expecting that the salesman who had appeared trustworthy and helpful on the phone would fix the "mistake". Steve took care of the over-charge (after we insisted and showed that we had his written offer in writing) andvery reluctantly offered to replace the cracked tail light cover (though he hasn't mailed it to us yet, and we aren't holding our breath) and told my husband that he had "done all he could for us" and promptly disappeared. No hand shake, no apology, no gas, no nothing. When we couldn't find him, we talked to a manager about the antanna and he replaced it on the spot with no fuss. We were left with a very uneasy feeling wondering what else was wrong with the car. We were extremely disappointed with Steve and would NEVER recommend Brandon VW to anyone. More
First of all, salesperson Reggie worked hard and was great. Second, if measuring value for car I bought, I am very satisfied. Would I buy from this dealership again? Possibly. Would I recommend this great. Second, if measuring value for car I bought, I am very satisfied. Would I buy from this dealership again? Possibly. Would I recommend this dealership to a friend? No. I would not recommend this place to a friend because I do not trust them. I would also say the dealership as a whole is somewhat cold and uncaring, unlike the Kuhn dealership in Tampa (yes, I know they are all related under the Kuhn umbrella of dealerships). Bought certified used car. I recommend you examine your certified car very carefully. Lots of blemishes on these cars. I get the feeling they just take cars, do very little reconditioning as is described in VW literature, certify them and put them out there with the warranty. I chose the cream of the crop car so I am good with what I got, but consider THESE points about my certified and thoroughly inspected best of the best car: my glove compartment still had the napkins and plastic cutlery and emergency unused tampon supply from the previous owner. My glove compartment also had the original sticker and lease contract with all the personal information of the original lessee. Trunk still had a little debris from the previous owner. First rainfall: can't see well.....time to replace the windshield wipers! SO MUCH FOR THE 112 POINT INSPECTION!!!!! And I don't blame the detailers! LOL! Responsibility lies with Gino. There is noise on the internet about dealerships just certifying vehicles and taking their chances with warranty issues and I think this dealership follows that format. Let me sum up my problem like this. Not a single certified car here measured up to the unblemished used car standards I find at Carmax. They don't bring their cars up to standard. They take them off lease, put the warranty on them and send them out the door as certified. That's my opinion. Would you trust or recommend that? More
I contacted this dealership about buying a new VW GTI, but then changed my mind. The salesman, Joe Lans then proceeded to block me from viewing Brandon Volkswagen's web page! This is unheard of as a busin but then changed my mind. The salesman, Joe Lans then proceeded to block me from viewing Brandon Volkswagen's web page! This is unheard of as a business practice and represents a new low for any car dealership. Stay away at all costs!!! I proceeded to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am waiting for a resolution. More
This is my 5th VW. I have no problem with the quality of VW. My problem is with the salesman. During the negotiations I asked about window tint. He said he's take care of it. When I saw the contract I ask VW. My problem is with the salesman. During the negotiations I asked about window tint. He said he's take care of it. When I saw the contract I asked why the tint wasn't listed. He said he'd take care of it. Long story short, he didn't take care of it. He called it a misunderstanding. There was no misunderstanding. I was mislead. Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining. More
Car broke down twice in 2 days. Dealership did not handle problem with urgency. Service manager hung up on buyer because they felt it was not their problem. Vehicle sat on side of road for over a day before problem with urgency. Service manager hung up on buyer because they felt it was not their problem. Vehicle sat on side of road for over a day before dealership sent a tow truck to pick it up. Claimed they fixed it and gave it to buyer to drive for the weekend. Was taken to orlando and vehicle broke down again. Took another two days to get the vehicle. Dealership offered to pay the buyer to keep the car and be patient. VERY UNACCEPTABLE!!! More

I insisted that I had an appointment and thus went inside and asked a person behind a desk. They said that the internet sales person was indeed there and was waiting for me. The two salesmen who lied to me that were outside just glared at me the whole time. I have never had a shopping experience like the one at this Volkswagon Auto Dealer. It's safe to say I didn't buy a car from this dealer. More
