Bought a new VW Jetta at Volkswagen Kia of Billings this weekend! Had an awesome experience with all the staff. Everyone was very professional and personable. Attempted fraud at Rimrock VW I took my car to the dealership for repair. It was having trouble shifting out of gear, and starting. They had the car for three days when they called I took my car to the dealership for repair. It was having trouble shifting out of gear, and starting. They had the car for three days when they called and told me I needed to new shifter mechanism. They guessed at $1800 In a moment of mechanical intuition. I could tell the starter clicked, I couldn't understand how that would affect the shifter. So I called a mechanic at Dana motors. He said stop what they were and bring the car to him. It was probably only a switch. I stopped the work and tried to pick up my vehicle that afternoon it wouldn't start, even when I tried the tricks I had used earlier. After some time I gave up and called a tow truck. I towed vehicle to Dana motors. They replace the ignition switch and the car started fine. But numerous other issues arose. They spent over four hours locating an unplugged connection at the transmission. This unplugged connector disabled my car. Dana motors tells me I could not have driven my car to Rimrock Volkswagen with this plug disconnected. With this plug back in, my car works fine. Dana motors charged me $49 for the parts and hundred dollars to replace it. Then $300 for the hours they spent locating the disconnected plug. I asked Rimrock VW for reimbursement of their wildly incorrect diagnosis, tow truck costs, and three hours for Dana motors to locate their sabotage. Rimrock VW simply ignores calls. And will not even refund their bad diagnosis fee. Here's what I'm thinking. They tried to boost income by saying they did an expensive repair. In reality they're replacing a simple switch. When I went to get my car, they were confident I would not get it started. They expected me to go back inside and say "fine just fix it". They did not expect me to tollway the car with the evidence still disconnected. So here's the question… Did the mechanic make a mistake in his diagnosis and another mistake by leaving that plug unconnected? Or are we talking about organized fraud? You decide More

Not the kind of thing you see very often at all in the car biz. Everything was at my pace and didn't feel obligated to rush into something that I didn't want to. Bought the car at a killer price (a price LITHIA told me was way to low and impossible). Eric Tipton (sales), Laraine (internet manager, and Anna (financing) were all fantastic INCLUDING the sales managers. This was my first VW but i feel that if it were any other brand i would want to give the first shot at this dealer because of there outstanding performance great attitude.
