We inspected my car, and he even showed me my tires and wipers! Such attention to detail! My shuttle was prompt and courteous. Norman kept me informed with text updates, and even arranged my shuttle back! My vehicle was ready for me when I got there, Norman went over all of the work with me, and the cashier was the best! Get this, Norman then walked me to my car, and I could not believe that they even cleaned it for me! People,, I felt like I bought a premium brand car because they gave me premium service! Their hours were the best! They start at 6:30 am which really helped me because I got a stress free ride to work! These guys have it down! Thank you and big shouts to the Volkswagen Service Team you guys are ROCK STARS! More

Thank you, Alhambra Volkswagen- you superseded my service and repair expectations! After shelling out a grand to Glendale New Century Volkswagen for a repair that didn't solve my car problems and subsequently leaving my car for multiple days in their service department to have someone drive the car for hundreds of miles without being able to pinpoint my issue, I decided to go back to Alhambra VW because I had such a great experience with them when I lived in the area years ago. Prior to coming into Alhambra VW, I was quoted $25/day for a rental vehicle while my car was serviced and $150 for them to check out my 2010 Jetta. On the day of service last Thursday, I brought my car in at 11am and Norman checked in my car and gave the absolute best customer service! Three days later on Saturday, Norman let me know exactly what the problem was and that my car would be ready by Tuesday. The repairs were pretty expensive, BUT Norman was gracious enough to wave the costs of my rental car. On Monday, I got a text follow up that my car was ready! I picked it up on Tuesday morning and, to my surprise, Norman was able to get me a very generous $300 discount on my repairs IN ADDITION to waving my rental car fees which would have been about $150. So far, my car has been running smoothly! I will definitely be back to Alhambra VW for all future car service and repairs. Thank you! More

So, my fiance and I who are younger professionals decided to look at VWs as a possible cheap extra car (we have a Lincoln and an Audi). So, we decided to stop by Alhambra VW. As many of you know VW is going through quite a scandal right now with the diesels, however this has affected their entire market share and many of the dealers are ghost towns. Most of the dealers are only staying afloat due to a cash disbursement from VW to it's dealers. So, on 11/21/15 at 5:30 pm we walk into the dealer. It took a few minutes for someone to approach us. We walk through the used car section (we buy in cash only). A saleswoman meets us and walks with us up and down the rows, then disappears to go help someone else. Then a younger gentleman says that she is finishing a deal (though she merely met another potential customer two rows up). We see a Cruze that does not have the mileage marked. The salesman gets the key and the car is dead! Yes, dead! So, to further inspire my confidence in this 'dealer' they jump the car, I said forget it! Then we saw a 2013 Passat at the end of the row. The car was in fair enough shape. But, once again heavily used in a cosmetic sense. The outside of the car was filthy. It took the ac in the car at least 4 min to cool off inside (it was only 70 degrees outside). The salesman asked me how much money do we have (very inappropriate) then he pulled out the car and the horn began honking uncontrollably on the car. The horn pad was loose on one side (subject of a recall that this dealer did not bother to fix, which brings into question their 'certification' process) causing the horn to go crazy. So, I drove the car around the block. I was not too impressed, but, my fiance liked it. So, we decided to go into the dealer to begin negotiation. The seating is rather inappropriate for the venue and is like 1950's diner. So we sit for a few minutes and talk to the salesman and I make him a starting offer of $9500 for this car (with scratches, 2013, and needed new tires and this horn thing fixed also the registration expired a year ago.)). The car was online for $15,500 (on the lot for $16500, which they didnt bother to notify us of the price difference, which borders on fraud). Granted I didn't expect to get the car for this price at all but, I figured it was a good place for negotiation to begin. Oh, did I mention we have cash and could have paid it in full immediately? Anyway, the salesman goes to the manager, who decided to show our offer to some of the other staff, laughing! Then he comes over and says he cannot do the deal but he appreciates my 'well played tactic.' This is NOT what you say to a potential customer. He proceeded to be extremely condescending and rude to my fiance and I. I let him know that this is where negotiations begin and he told me that their listed prices are their prices and my offer was a joke. He told me that why waste time with games like negotiation? ALL prices are negotiable. I let him know that at Claremont they had a better optioned car for $12500. This manager than told me how they are in a lawsuit with VW and bashed the Claremont dealer. He also said that if I think I can 'score' a deal than I should go there. After this treatment we left. This place is extremely unprofessional and the manager is extremely rude. My grandfather, uncle and father sold cars for a combined 140 years . My grandfather was a volume dealer at a massive Chevrolet dealer for over 50 years who would make a deal to earn your business, he was never rude or condescending to his customers like this 'manager' was. It is because of this 'manager' why this particular dealership has 70+ used cars that are not moving (a staff member told us they typically have 20). 90% of those are VWs (because people have 0 confidence in the brand after they cheated with their emissions numbers on the diesels). BTW: We have $16,000 cash to spend on a car which will be spent on a much better vehicle elsewhere. More
A good experience I just wanted to say a few words regarding the car I bought at the Volkswagon Dealer in Alahambra. When I went there, I was expecting to be bombarded by the sales people, but instead they were relaxed and just let me look around. When I decided I wanted to talk to someone, they were there to help and not pushy. The whole transaction lasted only about 1.5 hours. Overall, a really good experience. More
Not Pleased, walked away I went through the whole process and was planning on buying a car there. Internet salesman was great, but the closer/finance manager was horrible. I I went through the whole process and was planning on buying a car there. Internet salesman was great, but the closer/finance manager was horrible. I ended up getting up and leaving. Some of the things I was told: * That all vehicles they take as trade-ins are considered to be in fair condition. * That kelly blue book doesn't take reconditioning into account when they price vehicles. * That all "other" dealerships will try to screw you with hidden fees in financing * That it was too much to expect good pricing and good trade-in value More

I leased a 2013 vw golf last month, it was my worst experience ever. I want a white golf , but there was only one white and it was not working. Maybe because it has not start for a while and the batt experience ever. I want a white golf , but there was only one white and it was not working. Maybe because it has not start for a while and the battery was dead. They said they'll ship another one here for me. They told me they'll call me when the car arrive, but i waited for 4 hours , they did not called me. so I went back to check on it , they told me the car is ready. Soon I found it was not a new one , it was the one that can not work and they charged the battery also the car has 109 miles on it , but on the contract there were only 15 miles. The thing make me really unset is they lied to me. The staff told me they did ship another one here but there was a scratch on the back, they said " you don't want a scratch car ,do you?" But then i talked to the sale manager ,Mike, he said the reason the car has 109 miles because the car was driven from riverside to here bulabula, I don't know what to say ,I feel they trade me like a fool !!! But by the time I already signed the contract, at least the finance Manager was nice, so I thought as long as the car is OK, i can just take it. But i was so wrong, today, the car can't start again, when i just need to go to work, it's already the second time. I only have the car for month and half, I feel so bad! Maybe because I'm not a native English speaker, so they think they can fool me around. I feel really bad. I would not recommend any one ! No one wants my experience. More
Our family has purchased two vehicles from Alhambra Volkswagen in the last year...both times the service was just great! On both occasions the salesmen were very friendly and helpful, and they made the Volkswagen in the last year...both times the service was just great! On both occasions the salesmen were very friendly and helpful, and they made the financing process and paperwork so fast and simple! With both purchases, Eric in Finance did our paperwork - he was great and answered all of our questions. We were in and out both times in record time! Karl, the general manager, was incredibly helpful and made sure that we got exactly which vehicles we wanted. The dealership itself is very nice - they have restored vintage Volkwagens on display in the showroom which are very cool! I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking to buy a VW!! We will definitely be back the next time we purchase a vehicle! More
