Worst service department ever When I bought my Jetta TDI, the sales people were excellent and that part of the experience was great. I had already heard from several friends about horror stories related to service at VW of Chattanooga. But I figured these were a few isolated incidents. How wrong I was. When there were problems early on with my car (first 30 days), the service department took an attitude of "Oh well, your tough luck." This trend has continued throughout my dealings with this department. From not having loaner vehicles ready when they say they will for a scheduled appointment, to telling me they serviced the spark plugs on my car (diesel engines do not have spark plugs, they have glow plugs), to outrageously expensive services, to very rude service consultants including the service manager, it has been one bad experience after another. I will never use the VW of Chattanooga service department again, and if you are smart, you shouldn't either. More
The amount of time I have had my car it has had to be serviced over half of the time I've had it . I have just traded for another brand of vehicle I highly recommend you not buy from here great at time o serviced over half of the time I've had it . I have been to the service department about 6 times in 3 months and made an appointment each time and three of those times they didn't look at my car that day making me have to pick it up and bring it back months and made an appointment each time and three of those times they didn't look at my car that day making me have to pick it up and bring it back or leave it over night. Also they kept replacing parts hoping to fix my car and I kept having to go back. They replaced a turbo and other parts and still my car was through the same codes and then after thousands spent they wanted to charge me more and more even thought they didn't fix it. I will never go here again!! More
I have a 2009 Routan that has been plagued with problems. If not for the service and staff (especially Brandon) I would have traded this vehicle long ago and never returned to VW. I have purchased two cars from this dealership in the past 5 years and have never had a negative experience. My appointments are always made promptly, the service advisors are always friendly and prompt, past 5 years and have never had a negative experience. I bought my car from this dealership and even delt with the same guy when he worked in sales. He was really nice when I was there to buy a car and earn him a comission. The few times I have gone there for the same guy when he worked in sales. He was really nice when I was there to buy a car and earn him a comission. The few times I have gone there for service it was horrible. I always end up dealing with Gene and he has always talked down to me and never seemed to care. It was always a rude experience. I drive all the way to the Al Johnson dealership in Dalton now so I dont have to deal with these people. More
