I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at Midtown Toyota during my recent visit for an oil change. My experience was marred by what I perceive as misleading recommendati service I received at Midtown Toyota during my recent visit for an oil change. My experience was marred by what I perceive as misleading recommendations and inadequate service assessment, specifically by the service person named Jose. During my visit, Jose contacted me to suggest additional services for my vehicle, claiming that my brakes were low at 5mm and 4mm in the rear and required immediate replacement. Additionally, he stated that my calipers were sticking and needed to be rebuilt. I must express my skepticism regarding these assessments, as it is highly improbable to accurately measure brake wear without removing the wheels. At the time of the assessment, the wheel lock key was in my possession, making it impossible for the technician to conduct a thorough examination of the brakes. Without proper access to the components, it is unreasonable to provide precise measurements or diagnose issues accurately. I am disappointed by this lack of attention to detail and the attempt to upsell services without conducting a thorough assessment. Such practices erode trust and confidence in the integrity of your service department. As a loyal customer, I expect transparency, honesty, and professionalism from Midtown Toyota's service team. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly, address any potential training or procedural deficiencies, and ensure that future service assessments are conducted with the highest level of accuracy and integrity.
