Judith was great! She explained thoroughly on what was recommended to be done. We didn’t feel pressured at all. I got an amazing deal on a 2025 CX-50 at Victory Mazda! I really love this car, and I appreciate all the people on staff who helped me to get a price and a payment plan that worked for my budget. The sales experience was quite typical and our salesman, Sal, was nothing but helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, typical in this case includes adding $7k in ”optional” extras, but I understand dealerships Sal, was nothing but helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, typical in this case includes adding $7k in ”optional” extras, but I understand dealerships don’t make much money on used cars so I don’t fault them for doing their thing. After some negotiations and walking out once they said they couldn’t drop all of the extras, my partner and I were offered the online price over the phone the next morning which we were happy to pay. Financing was a completely different story. The person who did our financing, Abdulla, was deceitful from the start. After being promised the online price he tried to slip in a $950 warranty by claiming they, “calculated our taxes wrong” and showed us a document with a $6 more a month monthly payment. He then as fast as he possibly could explained that by buying down our interest rate to 7.5% from 8.99% we could include their warranty for the same price on the car. We pushed back on this and asked what the principal would be which he refused to directly answer until I spelled out exactly what he did and how it was adding thousands of dollars to the price of this car. This very clearly pissed Abdulla off because he was disrespectful and argumentative with us for the rest of the process. By this point my partner, who had never purchased any vehicle before, wanted to read everything they signed. Abdulla did not like this and told them they’d, “get a copy of everything after they sign it” implying my partner should not read the contract being signed to purchase a $17k car. He continued to push my partner to move faster by repeatedly flipping over a page they were actively reading to the side with the signature line. This page getting flipped back and forth a few times made Abdulla so mad he had to leave the office we were in to regain his composure. After returning, my partner signing some additional papers, and some arguing that paying off a 9% APR loan early on a depreciating asset is a better use of money than investing it, he exclaimed directly to my partner, “What, you’ve never bought a car before?!”. Now wanting to just leave, my partner got through the paperwork as quickly as they reasonably could, only to discover afterwards we were lied to about the APR and it was actually 9.26% and not 8.99%. Thinking the whole ordeal is over we drive home with the car to discover that one of the two key fobs we were given, which we were only shown after we purchased the vehicle, was completely non-functional and rusted out inside. Both keys were also missing the physical backup that allows you to enter the car if the fob dies. I contacted the dealer the next day hoping they would make it right and was promised a callback the following day about the issue. I never received it, and called them again to be told the car was, “as is”. Getting two aftermarket keys programmed and cut was $225. A few days later the car would not start. Thankfully, I was able to quickly diagnose it as a bad battery which was another $200 to replace myself, but they clearly jumpstarted it before the test drive because it not only took them like 10 minutes to go get the car, but the battery lasted less than 24 hours of non-operation before not being able to start the car. Whatever inspection they claim to do clearly isn’t very thorough, if they even do one at all. Then while getting the car’s documents in order I realized that they failed to provide us with a temporary registration document for the car which is legally required by the state. They were able to email us a copy to print out, but this is an astronomical mistake made by someone who spent more time talking down to us than making sure he did his job right. We will never buy a car from this dealership, or any of the other 55 under the same ownership, again. This is the greatest level of disrespect and incompetence I have ever encountered while purchasing a vehicle. More

It was my first time going to this branch and Ms. Judith made it sure that I'm well accomodated. I'm satisfied with the service I availed and I will definitely going back for my vehicle needs. This is my first time coming to this Mazda dealership and my experience was amazing. I went in for an oil and tire rotation. They have their service department building, with private office spaces if waiting there (very nice and clean), and their other building right across with agents and their open waiting area (with leather chairs, coffee, water, and snacks via vending machine). I was assisted by Judith and she was excellent at explaining what I might need for how many miles my vehicle held. She advised me to also get an alignment, which I agreed, and during the midway point the mechanic working on my vehicle advised me to get a gasket oil valve replacement (definitely needed to know that). Judith is a sweet soul, kind, humble, and ensured I was accommodated well while I waited. Fun fact: Judith was able to say my name perfectly and even knew the meaning! (99% of people call me "T"). When I was waiting at the common waiting area I had the pleasure of also meeting Ali. He was very friendly, great smile, and comes from a background of highly being informed about cars. He gave me great examples about caring for your vehicle and we had great banter. I've been to several Mazda dealerships outside of my hometown and Victory Mazda San Leandro is by far the best Mazda dealership I have been to and it all started with the kind interaction I had with Judith. ^_^ More
