Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience with us on eBay. We are sorry that you were disappointed with the transaction and to read your review. This was our first time using eBay and we have learned a lot through this experience and have since re-written our disclaimers for our Ebay listings to avoid any miscommunication in the future. There were some items that should have been explained in further detail, but we feel that by reducing the DOC fee in half and giving you the $250 in lieu of the gift card that we had accommodated your needs. As for the lack of communication, we had no control over the power failure that led to an AT&T outage. Our power was down for several hours that morning and we were being told that it could take 6-8 hours to get our phone and internet back. We felt it best to try to reschedule most of deliveries that day till Monday because most of our applications that we use to process car deals are web based and without them we can not process paperwork or access systems used in the transaction such as State title system, etc. We are sorry and understand that this caused some customers and all of our employees to be inconvenienced. We are not sure if all of Calera was affected but both Alabama Power and AT&T have documentation of the event that lead to both outages and we are certain that other businesses in our exit 234 corridor were affected by the same outages. Please understand that at no time did we have any other higher offer on the car. In the end, this was just a simple miscommunication that we thought was mutually satisfactory to both parties, but based on your review you did not feel the same. We strongly feel that we more than adequately addressed any of these miscommunications and we have since re-written our disclaimers for our Ebay listings to avoid any miscommunication in the future. Again, we apologize for your disappointment with the transaction and are available to discuss this further at 205-664-0046.
