Oil and check engine light service Found a need for oil in my vehicle a few weeks after the purchase. Brought it in and waited while it was serviced. Within the hour, it was found that Found a need for oil in my vehicle a few weeks after the purchase. Brought it in and waited while it was serviced. Within the hour, it was found that the oil filter seal was defective. An oil service was completed. As I drove away, the check engine light was still on. It had been listed on the initial sign-in report. I turned the car around and went back and asked the attendant if I had to drive a mile or two before the light would go off because it was still on. The car was taken back in the shop immediately and returned with the engine light off. It is working well now. More
