I bought my Camero here at Carter a few years ago. Before coming here I shopped different brands and spent a lot of time looking for value .... and performance......like everyone else. I went to the top 5 dealers in the area and had thought I was done. Then on a whim.....hope or whatever we decided to Check out the Camero. Suprisingly, it was more affordable than the "top" import, drove like a sports car and we got the ego boost for free, as this car is a head turner. When you go into any parking lot and see all the SUVS and other "cars" you have to read the vehicles badge to figure out what brand it is...because that's the mass mentality ......and if you enjoy being in the herd congratulations....but.....if you want to recapture a little bit of ol'US of A, then this certainly is the a car for you. Now, having put 30k on our car and wanting a few more options... we discussed...looked around a bit and found that again the Camero was the winner.....for the money performance styling etc.....but why Carter? Because I like straight talk the real price and not having to watch My salesman go back and forth to talk to someone who supposedly has the financial numbers......ooooohhh. big secret...... Nope I wanted a nice car for a fair price and got it. (again) Thanks Mark Cross.......ps..your coffee aint too bad either.............Lawrence Talbot More

My experience at Carter was overall fantastic. I dealt mostly with Mark Cross who was a treat to work with. I'm a 24 years old and this was the first car I've ever bought. I was expecting to be "hassled" mostly with Mark Cross who was a treat to work with. I'm a 24 years old and this was the first car I've ever bought. I was expecting to be "hassled" and "annoyed" by the dealership because that is what everyone says about car dealerships, but I had the complete opposite experience. I walked in and was greeted kindly and asked if I needed help. I did know which car I wanted and I wasnt going to be swayed in any other way. They respected that, they let me test drive the exact car I wanted. I told Mark I wasnt ready to make final decisions that day, and he respected that. Later that week I made my decision to get the car there. The process was so easy (especially for it being my first car purchase, I didnt really know what I was doing). In no way did I feel taken advantage of throughout the entire process by anyone there, but Mark was especially helpful with any questions I had or concerns. The entire process took about a week to complete and I couldnt be happier with my purchase at Carter. I would highly recommend that dealership to anyone, and especially Mark. All the other people there were very nice as well, but again I dealt mostly with Mark. Last thing I will add is that even though the process of buying the car is over with, I feel comfortable calling them anytime if I ever have a problem or question, and I know I will get nothing but the best help. Highly recommended dealership. Made my first car buying experience a dream. More

I called when my check engine light came on and spoke with John. He was able to schedule me at a time that was convenient for me and very quickly. I dropped the truck off and they finished the work in with John. He was able to schedule me at a time that was convenient for me and very quickly. I had a problem where my battery went dead after the car had been stored for a short period of time. I called and discussed the issue with Amanda. Based on the description of the issue, we agreed that it had been stored for a short period of time. I called and discussed the issue with Amanda. Based on the description of the issue, we agreed that it sounded like a bad cell and not the charging system. Since not living in the imediate area, she said to stop in any time we were in Manchester. We stopped in yesterday afternoon, and they took the car right in, no hastles. They tested and found what we thought was the issue. They changed out the battery and we were on our way within an hour. The service was probaby shorter, but we spent extra time discussing things unrelated to cars, while in the waiting area having coffee. Happy customers, Jeanne and Ray More
I have had to bring my Hummer in for various general maintenance reasons over the past year and have had good experiences working with John Machado in Service. Recently, I was in the middle of closing maintenance reasons over the past year and have had good experiences working with John Machado in Service. Recently, I was in the middle of closing on a house and moving and my Hummer started having a grinding noise while driving. The timing couldn't have been worse. Happily, not only did John get my vehicle in to be looked at immediately but he also went above and beyond to make sure I had another vehicle so that I could make it to the closing and continue the moving process. John is very customer-service-oriented and has won my loyalty to Carter. In addition, the service tech who worked on my vehicle was very honest and didn't try to take me for a "ride". This is how a business should be run and has therefore earned my respect. More
I was in the market for a used car that would help reduce my payments on my current car. I had been to Carter Chevy several times with family and friends and always had a great experience. When looking to purchase a vehicle many people get an uneasy feeling and a feeling that they are going to get taken advantage of by the salesman. This couldn't be farther from the truth, I was meet by a young handsome salesman named Jake Barratt, he was very friendly and made me feel at ease. He explained everything to me and was always looking out for what I wanted, if he didn't have an answer for me or needed some help another sales associate named Casey Wolverton was awesome as well. When we came to an agreement on my current and future vehicle I was introduced to Lou Martin the finance god. Lou had previously taken care of my parents when they bought a Chevy Silverado. Lou is awesome at his job and very attentive to your needs, he explained everything to me and gave me options to help save me money. I wasn't pressured to buy any "extended warranties" as it always seems to be the big line with dealers. I can't say enough about how well I was treated by this dealership, great sales team, great management and just an overall friendly feeling. I drove away the same day with my almost new Chevy Impala and I haven't regretted anything about my visit. I would highly recommend if you are in the market to buy a vehicle that you go to Carter Chevy in Manchester and ask for Jake Barratt or Casey Wolverton, Jake is great at what he does, with his warm smile and easy way about him you feel at ease.
