Ever since I found my black Subaru Baja this past summer, my mother has been trying to find one of her own. She's extremely picky and specifically wanted a red one with a hitch on the back, but after months my mother has been trying to find one of her own. Then, out of nowhere, we found one listed on the internet at Carter Chevrolet, in Manchester, CT which isn't very far from our hometown of New Milford. As soon as we saw the car online, we called to make an appointment to go and see it, crossing our fingers that we had found the perfect one. On the phone, the staff was very pleasant and amiable, and they were even better in person. We got out of our car and were greeted by the bright, smiling face of sales consultant, Casey Wolverton, who is a very charming and courteous gentleman. After we took the immaculately clean Baja for a test ride, everyone was sold on the car. Casey helped us through the process of the sale steadily and cheerfully, and was extremely accommodating and polite. My father negotiated with Bob Oles and met on a price after discussing the trade of our Scion, and before we knew it we were on our way to owning a beautiful used Subaru Baja. My parents and I couldn't wait to go back to Carter Chevrolet, not only to pick up our car, but to see the staff again. Everyone we came into contact with were happy and friendly people, always offering a helping hand or something to make our visit more comfortable. When we went to pick up the Baja and complete the transaction this morning, everything was handled swiftly and carefully by both Casey and Jonathan Buttero who were again, both wonderful to work with. The whole day would have gone off without a hitch if it weren't for my father who accidentally locked both sets of the keys inside of the car, but even that was a very nice experience. Everyone who helped us get the car open were very patient and kind, and kept smiles on their faces despite the freezing temperatures. All and all, Carter Chevrolet is a delightful dealership that we won't soon forget, and gave us quite possibly the best car-buying experience any of us have ever had (The lovely appointment signs with our name on it and coffee machine were both well received bonuses!). We will continue to recommend this dealership to our friends and family, and it will stay at the top of our list if we are ever looking to buy a car in the future. My experience with carter Chevrolet have been great I bought my truck used from another dealer,, took it to Carter Chevrolet to give it a through check up and to have everything that needed to be done WH bought my truck used from another dealer,, took it to Carter Chevrolet to give it a through check up and to have everything that needed to be done WHICH was about three three years ago... didn't have any major problems with it till this pass month when my engine light came on and my truck was shaking I called and spoke to John Machado abt my truck HE gave me a appointment FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY which was a Friday,, I explained to him that I had a appointment for my baby the same day and John went out of his way and had a car waiting for me he called me a couple hours after explain the problem with my truck and the price which was reasonable and had my car out by 3pm ...He also told me my truck needed back brakes which I already knew,, lol I said I will have them done in a couple of weeks .. On 2/17/14 I called John Machado to set it up I went in at 8am this time I told him I would wait for it and they had me out of there by 11am ..What a great place!! awesome customer service.. I looked at the same truck at another Chevy dealership and I came up to Carter just to make a comparison. When I saw the truck I liked it enough to make an offer. He didn't try to beat me up, fair was fair and we made a deal.He walked me through everything step by step, and made it as easy as possible for me to get the down payment in place and my trade in assessed. The loan officer, Jon Buttero, had everything in order the moment I walked in the door to pick up the truck. I'm a young guy with a limited credit history. He found me a bank that "buys the person" and I was happy with the interest rate, and the terms in general. If I can, I will buy every vehicle from now on from Casey and Jon. There aren't many competent people in the workforce anymore, but these two are worth your time. More

My husband initially contacted Carter to test drive a Sonic. He met with Jimmy, test drove a Sonic and to his surprise, was told he could take it home. I was also interested in a new car. Jimmy met with me, found out my requirements for each make and made each available for me to test drive and take overnight. He was always polite, allowed me to decide on which vehicle I preferred and made sure the vehicle had everything I wanted. I have since requested an adjustment on the seat belt connection and he has made the arrangements for an extension.
