Poor attitudes and service. Made an appt at 1:45 - when they finally got to the car at about 3:00 they informed me that my "appt" time is actually a "check in" time. Bought my first car with them in 1985 they finally got to the car at about 3:00 they informed me that my "appt" time is actually a "check in" time. I brought my 2006 Honda Civic in to Vern Eide for service. I had a loud rattle coming from under the hood. They told me that the block was damaged by the AC Compressor and the only thing I could do service. I had a loud rattle coming from under the hood. They told me that the block was damaged by the AC Compressor and the only thing I could do is order a new block for for big $$ and have them install it. I said no and they charged me a 100 bucks did no work and gave me my still broken car. I took the car apart myself and sound that the AC Compressor bracket had cracked and was rattling, ordered a new on for 30 bucks and it fixed all my problems. Vern Eide just wanted to take money from me and I will never do business with them again. Wish I could get my 100 bucks back. More
I went in to Verne Eide on 21st and Minnisota to look at a used vehicle. When I got there I was greeted immediately by a sales person who started talking to me profusely about the vehicle I was looking at. a used vehicle. When I got there I was greeted immediately by a sales person who started talking to me profusely about the vehicle I was looking at. We went for a test drive and all the time he is telling me about how Verne Eide is a family owned business and takes pride in making their customers happy. I decided I liked the car enough to buy it, and got caught up in the moment. After the sale was over however, calls to the dealership because of issues I found (missing ashtray for example) got a very cold "I'll see what I can do" response and never a call back. They are very happy to sell you a car, but drop the ball when it comes to "working with the customer to keep them happy." I would not go back. More
