In December I decided to trade in my 2010 Rav4 for something more suitable for commuting. The new purchase was my 2nd vehicle from this particular dealership. The next day, I'm all giddy, enjoying the new car smell and attempting to transfer my satellite radio subscription to the new car....when I discover I have no satellite radio!!! I had been told specifically by the salesman that the car was satellite ready, it's just a simple transfer of the Rav subscription to the new vehicle. So I'm furious, no , I'm livid. Never separate me from my music, it's the one must have I need in a vehicle! So I text the salesman (he had given me his cell number on the business card) His response was "Oh no, let me look in to it and get back to you" After 2 days, my patience was worn from getting the run around and not getting the issue resolved. I filled out the "how did we do survey" Not so great in my opinion. Mike (Internet Manager) promptly calls me and I explain what has taken place. He grabbed the ball and ran with it, resolving the issue to my satisfaction and now have the satellite radio installed! :) (A thank you to Alex for keeping me posted during the installation process) For that, I give him much props and a thousand thank you's for handling the problem when no one else would even consider taking the initiative to rectify it to the purchaser's benefit. Despite all that has occurred and my spouse saying through the entire process "should have bought a Benz" ......I'm still a Toyota fan. Thank you again, Mike! More

I took my Rav 4 in to have a recall problem fixed. I was told it would take about 2 hours. I told them I would wait. I was a little suspicious when they came to me after 20 minutes and said they were done. told it would take about 2 hours. I told them I would wait. Some time later I took my Rav 4 to Oxnard Toyota, because I couldn't make it to Ventura, and was told I had a recall on my Rav 4. I told the tech at Oxnard Toyota that that was funny I had taken the vehicle to Ventura Toyota twice for the same recall. Come to find out the recall, which was the airbag sensor at the time, was not fixed either time. I also had to deal with Marcielo (not sure about the spelling). He made me feel like I was taking up his time. Needless to say I won't be going back to Ventura Toyota. More
What ever you do do not come here they will try to rip you off at every turn. Be very careful at what they tell you and what they actually give you! On the paper you sign it does not list any thing just they differ based on model and package. Well a couple weeks later when you get the agreement in the mail come to find out it only covers oil changes. Called up the dealer to find out what happened and was told well the major service is just an inspection. I have never heard this before service usually means you get something for it. When i asked for clarification I was rudely told well you can cancel. Guess they were upset i actually took the time to read the agreement once it finally arrived in the mail. Sales was ok typical car sales back and forth but was satisfied in the end with the price of the vehicle. But very disappointed in the fact that they tried to rip me off hoping i would not pay attention to the fine print. There are plenty of other places to buy cars that are honest, dont waste your time and dont become a victim of their deceptive sales tactics. *******UPDATE********* The day after posting my experience here I was contacted by a manager Mike, who I explained my story to. After getting my side of the story he said he was going to look into it and get back to me. He called me back a short time later advising he was going to take care of the problem and give me what I was originally promised. Took finding the right person to talk to, but in the end they did the right thing. More
KP helped make our buying experience great. KP's customer service and knowledge was excellent, and he was very helpful throughout the process. We are not used to having this type of treatment at a car dealer service and knowledge was excellent, and he was very helpful throughout the process. Ventura Toyota has the best customer service I've seen from a dealership in a long time. KP Ghuman is very helpful and friendly. I never got the feeling that they were only there for just the sale.
