Scheduled an appointment for an oil change and it took an hour and 45 minutes. I was very disappointed that you have so many appointments and so little staff and think nothing of making the customers wait th hour and 45 minutes. Kept me waiting for 90 minutes after service was completed Took my vehicle in for routine maintenance. They recommended I also have my brake fluid flushed and I agreed. After waiting in the customer lounge f Took my vehicle in for routine maintenance. They recommended I also have my brake fluid flushed and I agreed. After waiting in the customer lounge for 3 hours I went to the service desk to ask why it was taking so long. The clerk there said, "oh, it's done" I was ticked-off and asked why no one came to the lounge to get me. Then the service rep told me he had sent me a text 90 minutes earlier because he thought I was out walking around somewhere. That's when I went from ticked to furious. Perhaps my texting was turned off, or the message didn't come through, or delivery was delayed. There are any number of reasons why a text message might not be successful. During the 3 hours I sat in the lounge I saw every other service rep come to the lounge and call out to their clients to tell them their car was ready. I asked why he didn't simply walk over to the lounge area and tell me it was done instead of texting me - or come out to check on me after I didn't answer the text message after 15 minutes or so. He never answered that question satisfactorily and he never apologized. If anyone has been to this dealership, it´s stuck on along Highway 41 with no sidewalks and nothing to walk to on either side. Add in the fact that there is highway is under major reconstruction and even walking outside the dealership building is dangerous. How in blazes he ever imagined I´d be out for a stroll in all that is beyond me. My vehicle is 3 years old and I typically buy a new vehicle in the 4th year. So not only will I not be back to Toyota of Venice for service, I'll also go somewhere else for my 2021 new car purchase. More
