Left 2021 highlander hybrid vehicle for 15k service under the two year maintenance free. It’s basically a tire rotation fluid check plus there was a safety recall. I additionally asked to have cruise checked because it does not hold set speed always 1 mph low. Asked if this could be adjusted. Get message for. a 49.95 cabin filter and 99.99 alignment. If I have a free maint for two years and these items need maint then they should be free right? So what are they then just typical up sell? Takes 5 mins to change cabin filter. So I say no to up sell go pick up car. No charge for tire rotation fluids and safety recall. They didn’t bother with the cruise at all. Not a huge deal when I want 75mph I set at 76. It actually annoys me but they don’t even take time to explain why I should have to. When a person spends 50k on a car and the manufacturer gives in the sale 2 years free maint why would I expect to have to pay for any maintenance. Yes I know the answer because as is typical they only do the things that do not cost much the real issues or the easy ad ons they make you pay. Nothing changes in the auto sales and repairs world.
