Dear Ed Coleman Cramer Toyota of Venice would like to apologize for the issues with your recent purchase of your truck. As I am sure was explained to you once a vehicle is purchased the manufacturer warranty then takes over. Toyota has one of the best paint warranties in the business and we would have been happy to get Toyota involved. If it was deemed to have been a manufactures defect they would have fixed it under warranty. As you are aware you refused to go that route as it might involve painting your vehicle and you wanted a new vehicle instead. Unfortunately there are costs involved in going that way. Dear klluberger, Thank you for your input and comments. It is our goal with every customer that we do everything possible to make them a satisfied customer. In your case unfortunately we failed. As I explained to you on the phone when we spoke, the warranty on the tires of every vehicle is with the tire manufacturer. Any and all assistance offered by Cramer Toyota of Venice was offered on a good will basis in an attempt towards customer satisfaction. Any further assistance would need to be offered by the tire manufacturer. Our offer still holds that we will assist you in any manner setting up and even attending a meeting with the tire manufacturer. There are many factors that affect tire wear including road conditions, tire rating, road hazards and most importantly driving habits of the individual driver. Our experience is that tires generally last many more miles than you are experiencing. As stated in your review, on around 15,000 miles your tires needed replacing. This is considerably less than the tires were rated for and considerably less miles than we generally see from most Toyotas. At that time as you stated Cramer Toyota of Venice assisted on a good will basis paying for 2 tires while you paid for two tires. In addition it should be noted that the vehicle also at that time had an alignment done. After Cramer Toyota of Venice supplied two complementary tires, all subsequent services were done at another shop. Because of this Cramer Toyota of Venice is unable to offer input about how the tires were wearing during the next 11,000 miles. When the vehicle was next serviced with Cramer Toyota of Venice on July 16, 2014 you requested new tires. The tires were worn and needed replacement. At that time Cramer Toyota of Venice did a complementary alignment of which the results were shared with you showing the vehicle to be out of alignment. At this point Cramer Toyota of Venice suggested that you contact the tire manufacturer since the tire warranty is with the tire manufacturer and they are the ones who could offer the best pro-rotation. You declined and asked Cramer Toyota of Venice to pay for the tires. Cramer Toyota of Venice at that time offered a $400 goodwill credit effectively paying for two tires. We once again suggested that if additional assistance was desired we would assist you in working with the tire manufacturer since they are the ones that warranty the tire for wear. You again declined our offer assist you with the tire manufacturer even though we offered to combine any additional monies they offered with our offer potentially covering the entire expense. Later in the week our General Manager David Dondanville contacted your wife again offering to assist with the tire manufacturer as well as a free alignment and our original offer of $400 which you declined. As you noted the review, we gave your son an estimate of the work needed on the vehicle to bring the car completely up to standard. Once a vehicle exceeds 100,000 miles, often times there is required maintenance required. In addition a 10% discount was offered on work that was not already priced at Cramer Toyota's Every Day Low Prices. Every Day Low Priced Services are priced to meet or beat aftermarket prices and cannot be discounted further.
