He said if it had too many miles on it for me to buy it, why did I need to know the price? I could have told him because I was planning on buying the same car with half the miles at a later date. But I didn't bother. Because, fortunately, prior to that I visited Wilde Honda in Sarasota and they answered every question promptly. Even sent me an email to ask if I had more questions. Now that's a dealership I can respect. More

They flood you with paperwork to sign off on, about 70 pages, and then you put your signature on paperwork about the price after you are worn out ! It was a very simple transaction of purchase. I am also strong in math, but the figures were manipulated in such a fashion, that it looked correct but was not. They double added an $899 charge, And when I caught it, it was after I paid and was gone. Was shifted from one Person to another, Seeking an explanation, with a waiting game to pull paperwork each time for a week. Then I was told that the individual I Was working with was no longer with the company. This happened three times! Shifted to another “” manager “Who asked for another week to pull paper. Over eight weeks have passed, the figures make absolutely no sense, and with caller ID they put me on hold, don’t connect me with anyone. They do not return messages left . The owner is a corporation, there seems to be no head of the ship. Have taken the issue to the state regulatory commission. More
Poor service department Frustration and disappointment. I purchased my 2018 Odyssey from Venice Honda and that went very well. My salesman was great. But now here we are, Frustration and disappointment. I purchased my 2018 Odyssey from Venice Honda and that went very well. My salesman was great. But now here we are, 3 months later and I've had two chances to use their service center, both to me total disasters. The first I admit was partially my fault. I brought the vehicle in for and oil and filter change without scheduling an appointment (most dealerships I've purchased from usually have an express line for oil changes) and was told, maybe we can get to it, but won't be until after 2:00 PM, this is at 8:45 in the morning. OK, so they were busy, but if you have that much work, I would assume you have more staff available. But the second incident, which totally left me at a loss for words was this past Saturday. I had scheduled an appointment because the window in the drivers side rear door sounded like you were dragging chalk down the chalkboard and would jam going up. Now this is on a 3 month old vehicle, mind you. Brought the car in 15 minutes early of the scheduled time, then sat and waited. 45 minutes later, sitting in the waiting room, I get called out to tell me there is nothing wrong with the door. After showing the repairman what it was doing, he says, OH, it's the window, they told me it was the door that was not working. We can't repair that. I guess I had a perplexed look on my face, so he told me that is an authorized repair and the person who has the "codes", doesn't believe he should work Saturdays, so we can't fix it??????????? WHAT, REALLY????? Are these the nuclear launch codes? Is there no other person at Venice Honda that can be entrusted to authorize a warranty repair? Why, when purchasing the vehicle and being told about there wonderful service department was I not told were open on Saturdays, but not if you need a warranty repair. I suddenly remember a women who was talking with a service manager at the payment desk saying she wouldn't sign the work order and him telling her that the "man is on his boat and I don't know if he will get back to me". I wonder if this is the man with the "codes". How can any dealership today not offer warranty work on a weekend when most working people try to have their repairs done. There is nothing in their advertisements or posted in the service area that says Sorry, no warranty repairs on Saturday, I manager doesn't believe he needs to work or delegate authority to anyone else to make decisions. The argument I received was, well it cost's Venice Honda to do a warranty repair, and they want to keep track of expenses. REALLY, Honda isn't going to reimburse you for the repair for warranty work. I have a difficult time believing that. Enough said, my salesperson was great, Service- not so much. More

Not Straight Forward I went to look at 2016 used car with about 45K miles I saw on the Internet. I drove it and went in to negotiate the price. The price was around $8500. I went to look at 2016 used car with about 45K miles I saw on the Internet. I drove it and went in to negotiate the price. The price was around $8500. As we began the negotiation the sales person asked how I would be paying. I said cash. They said if I didn't finance the price was $1000 higher. I stayed to hear them out The sales manager then brought over a sheet which showed their offer to sell the car at over $11,000 "out the door" with all taxes, tags, etc. . I told them I wasn't happy and would pay x. The sales manager followed me out the door yelling I didn't know what cars were worth, etc. More

My opinion has changed and it's due to the service dept Service department has explained now to me that if I don't put enough miles on my car the car won't charge up. Doesn't matter that I drive it around t Service department has explained now to me that if I don't put enough miles on my car the car won't charge up. Doesn't matter that I drive it around town often, if I am not putting an x factor of miles on the car a day (which they define as needing to not be in town but on the interstate but no exact amount of miles) then my car will kill a battery and have issues of not starting. I do drive the car often I just buzz here and there and it doesn't give me a lot of mileage. He said it was due to having a lift on the back of my car. I explained I had another honda crv for 3.5 years with the lift on it, and then this honda crv with the lift on it for 2 years and never had this issue before. But the service department is adamant that regardless this has never happened before and old car vs new car (there's a 5 year difference between the honda crv's I have) that this is the reason my car is killing the battery and not starting up. His only solution is to keep a charger on the car at all times. Uh.. So apparently I should be buying a different brand of car? Something other than Honda if this is going to be a problem that has never happened before? There are so many things bothering me about this. Same exact way of life, nothing changed in the last near 6 years. Nothing was ever a problem until now. And now our life style is why our car is draining the battery. And their solution is to get a charger for it to keep it plugged in day and night? And their reason is no voltage regulator to help the car? I mean, what? I have bought 3 cars through the Venice dealership and I think Tim Platt is awesome there and had planned next year to buy another car through them. I'd buy from Tim again no problem and be happy to be in there. But unless the service department finds and fixes what is wrong with my car and not give me some story about how suddenly I have to drive my car for an hour of non-stop to get the car to recharge for the first time in over 2 years... then I will have no choice but to go elsewhere. Since we buy a car every 3 years... that's a shame. More
