Venice Honda Venice FL is very unethical. WE got ripped off professionally. Last week on Friday we went to the dealer,Venice Honda Venice Florida.We went to the office to test drive a CRV 40 WE got ripped off professionally. Last week on Friday we went to the dealer,Venice Honda Venice Florida.We went to the office to test drive a CRV 40 K Suv and then after we put a down payment on a black one that was to be delivered to the dealer MAY 28 2023. The sales guy Spencer thought he was slick.The next day he called me to tell me that the car was coming early tomorrow somehow. So we went to the store with all our financial information to lease the car. I asked where the car was and they told me that it was being prepped. After an hour of sitting there for now reason I asked Spencer where the car was to look over. and he ignored me. I then went to the Sales manager and asked him to take me in the back to see my car and he told me it was not safe LOL, then we got to sit with the Finance guy to do the paperwork for an hour and bought the car ( they sold us the car without doing credit check because of Equifax was locked because of there release of our information in 2019 }. So we were not insured and not approved for a credit but gave us the car for the weekend but have the car in our name with the extra miles on it. We then went out to the front of the store and the car was there with the door open for us. My wife sat in the driver 's seat and let out a scream. This is not a new car, it has 75 miles on it. They ignored us. I asked the sales guy what happened to the new car. He told me someone drove it from another dealer up north. I told them I would wait for the car we ordered and they told me to leave. We were completely shocked that they did this was completely orcestraded scam to get us to take the car. It was completely choreographed right down to the moment we sat down in the car and said what's this 75 miles. I spoke with the GM on Monday and he told me he would give me a 1/2 price 10 years warranty that is null and void of the original warranty from Honda. I told him no and the next day the Finance guy called me to tell me that he was done with me and to not come back. What a bunch of thieves. The GM told me if I got a lawyer they would not win and screamed at me to intimidate this poor 74 yr old Veteran. They have a Veteran discount for 20 years in Service.whis is a lie it says on honda website any veteran who served . Not, two Years in Vietnam war time was not good enough. They organised the deal to sell us a car with many miles on it to get away with it. I called Honda Corporation today and they are going to find out what the immature GM would do to someone who has bought 5 Hondas in the past.The GM condones this behavior. He told me that Spencer was his best sales guy LOL and thief.Here are the list of people involved: General Manager Dathan, Sales guy Spencer and Asst MG Josh. BE VERY CAREFUL OR JUST GO TO THE SARASOTA HONDA IHAVE USED THEM FOR 15 YEARS AND THEY ARE HONEST. More
I am very disappointed in Venice Honda’s support being a new suv owner of 2 days from their dealership. Spencer was our sales person and he was aware of me wanting to have the CRV “loaded inside” so I order new suv owner of 2 days from their dealership. Spencer was our sales person and he was aware of me wanting to have the CRV “loaded inside” so I ordered a new black on black 2023 CRV. He said it would be in at the end of May. I was in no hurry so timing didn’t matter. The next day he called and said he had it coming in and I could pick it up. After sitting with Spencer and him asking questions and gathering information from us. My husband asked him to see the suv. He was told that it was getting prepped. The Assistant Manager, Josh came over and sat with us for a while. My husband asked him to see the suv and he said that it was getting prepped and that customer’s are not allowed in the back. I was then taken to the finance person, Peter and started signing paperwork without even seeing the suv. Again my husband asked to see the suv. The reply was they are getting it ready. At this moment we should have got up and walked out, we trusted them. I go out to finally see my brand new 2023 CRV black on black…..and it has 73 miles on it. NEW? I have had new cars in the past with 1-2 miles at the most, not 73. They neglected to tell us that they drove it from Tampa to Venice. Why didn’t they put it on a trailer and deliver? My SUV is used. When I sat down in the drivers seat with Spencer next to me in the passenger seat. I said why is there 73 miles on my suv? His reply was, I had to get it here from Tampa. I was fine to wait for the end of the month suv..why did he rush it? To get the sale!! Not very good customer service putting his wallet in front of having a loyal customer. The suv we test drove 2 days prior had 14 miles on it and my used suv that I already signed for had 73 miles on it. I would have given them a rave review if they would have not pulled the bait and switch and now Venice Honda doesn’t want to deal with me? The General Manager, Dathan chases away the “problem” customer’s so they don’t have to deal with them. Again, great customer service NOT. I will be going to Sarasota Honda for all my service needs and future purchases. Like Julia Roberts says in Pretty Woman, “BIG MISTAKE” Side note: My credit was frozen due to the Equifax leak a few years ago, they still allowed me to drive off the lot with my used suv and a new car tag and registration. Went to buy a used cr v and they said the lowest price was only it I financed through them. That makes no sense is false advertising in my opinion. They also added all kinds of extra fees and kept sayi was only it I financed through them. That makes no sense is false advertising in my opinion. I had pre approved financing for way better interest rate and they kept pressuring me to finance through them. To me, you’re just screwing over people on a tight budget. Won’t go back More
