Dathan, how disgusting that you would use this platform to lie. "She accepted a phone call', what? She told me 'it's not my problem that you live so far away'. What kind of statement is that? She barked at me 'I already gave you the warranty' when she was completely vague about what I had asked. She was acerbic, she was rude, she was vague, etc. and you were not present for our phone conversations yet you defend her unconditionally. You two clearly don't know what the word professional nor polite means. Your statements here are even more ridiculous than the ones you made to me privately. You are hands down, the most unprofessional GM and Venice Honda should be ashamed employing such a dishonest person. I would put my hand on a bible in a court of law over your statements, her acerbic behavior and both of your lack of professionalism. There are several other reviewers who have also commented about her lack of professionalism and bad attitude under Google reviews. You truly lack professionalism and integrity imho. I had to hang up on Kara because she was SO RUDE and she had the audacity to call me back. She's the worst sales person I have encountered of all the experiences I've had over the years when purchasing a car, hands down and you're no better. You're shameful!

As a buyer of cars and boats for the rental industry. These people wasted mine and their time. xxxxxxxx. They will want you to drive there to show u other cars not the one interested in. Kara and the woman are liars. .

Completely dishonest. Attempting to scam anyone who walks in; even those who own a brand new Honda. Worst dealership around, go elsewhere.

I called 2 separate times for 2 specific vehicles, i was told that the vehicles were in stock. I show up, and what do you. They sold 30 minutes prior to my arrival. Not good business practice

Found a car online I was interested in. Made plans to come in and look at it. Drove up from Port Charlotte on my kids birthday to look at the car. Once I got there the car had disappeared to another dealership. Felt like a bait and switch tactic. Of course, then they apologized and wanted to make it right by getting me in a more expensive car. Be careful doing business here. They are not in this for a long term customer relationship, but a fast money making deal.

Three separate times have I inquired about a car, called to confirm it was in stock, and made an appointment.
drove halfway there only to be told that it is no longer available,
or get there and it's not there but xx miles away at another lot...so either they are selling cars in the middle of the night or don't know what they have in their lot and are lying to people to get them to come in the door.

Can’t make a 0/5 but I would if I could! Go anywhere else!! My mother and father bought a used CRV there for $16,000. My father passed away 4 weeks after they bought the car, and put less that 800miles on it. My mother tried to return the car 6weeks after the purchase. THEY OFFERED her $8,000!! 50% of what they paid for it! I called the sales manager, and he said they were trying to make money, and he sleeps well at night. Never in my life have I seen such repulsive behavior. Don't give them your money, because they will take advantage of you no matter what.

Drove an hour away to be told the car I had been talking about that was supposed to be in great condition did not pass inspection and was not available. Then tried to get sold on other more expensive cars that I wasn't looking for. Do not talk with Courtney. After her telling me to meet at 10am she only showed up at 12pm after getting moved around for 2 hours finding the car I was looking at online and trying to be sold other cars

I keep getting calls and texts from the sales people from this dealership (I never inquired for a vehicle) and when I told them to take me off the list they were extremely rude and hung up on me…
Very unprofessional

Just not a good experience. Smiling while over charging ridiculous amount of fees is not good business in my opinion. Go home and think about what they are actually trying to charge you before you sign anything. I went in looking at vehicle priced 14k they tried adding almost 8k in fees making it 22k then they want you to finance with them so they can negotiate with banks on a higher finance rate to get a cut. Total price they said it would be 516 a month for 7 yrs lol. Who really pays 40k for a 14 thousand dollar car. Oh and the two cars I wanted to look at weren't there anyway.

Do not buy a used car from here. I chose Venice Honda after reaching out to multiple dealerships because of the ratings. I spent a week building rapport with Jennifer and telling her my needs. I wasn’t in the best situation and stuck with a dump of a car and needed more reliable transportation since I am expecting. I was told I would be taken care of. I traveled from Sarasota to Venice after scheduling a time with her to purchase a car. When I arrived to the dealership she was not available and I was given over to Omar. Omar was great, we went on a test drive and he told me if there were any issues to bring the car back because “we’re not that kind of dealership”. I noticed a few quirks and immediately texted him my concerns, which he handed off to Jennifer - who texted me to bring my car in and have service dept look at it. Again, I scheduled a time to be there and she was not available again and didn’t bother to inform anyone else the reason I was there so I received the runaround and ultimately left. Without my car getting looked at. They sold me a car with 300 miles to the next oil change, low fluids, and desperate need of a tuneup. I am upset I need to spend so much money fixing it up right off the lot. I expected more from a reputable dealership. They do not care about their customers needs, only making the sale.

I wanted to sell my car. I was contacted by Courtney. I told her I was offered $21.4k and she said what if I were to offer you $22k. I said it would be worth my time to drive 1-1/4 hours north for that. When I got there, they admitted my car was in excellent condition, but were only willing to offer me $21.5. So, I spent 2-1/2 hours driving roundtrip and they would not honor their offer? Not a good way to conduct business. I even offered to meet them half way in between, but they would still not honor their original offer. My word is my word, theirs is not!
And by the way, Carmax sold my car for $27k. So Venice Honda still would have made $5k if they would have honored their offer!

Found an advertisement online, came to see the car to find out it’s not available at the dealership. Called 3 days in a row and no one called me back. Eventually they called me back and confirmed the car is ready for test drive. After coming to the dealership it turned out the car is not there. Almost 1 hour later they told us that the car didn’t pass safety inspection and is not for sale. Amateurs!

This dealer lies about what inventory they have on their website. I drove two hours to look at an Odyssey. I literally left right after I got off the phone with them saying they had multiple of them and they set up an appointment for 6:30. I arrive, I’m greeted by not the person who I spoke with on the phone and who asked I ask for them when I get there. When I asked for “Tiffany” no one knew who that was-even though I have a text message from her stating her name (I’m now assuming they make people up who handle online customer service). Magically they then had no Odysseys to show me but I then was shown one that “just came in” and was previously owned by some vet. It smelled like a barnyard. I asked about the other ones on their website (literally they were marketing that they still had them) and this rep just played dumb. “Oh, that might have been borrowed by another dealer”, “oh, the cars are flying off the lot”. It’s no excuse for the amount of people standing around that place that they can’t keep their inventory up to date. I would never trust buying a vehicle here. Literally zero values or morals. How can you trust anything they tell you i.e. inspections or safety of vehicles based on this experience? This place owes me a tank of gas.

No stars. Took 2 trips to get a test drive, another 2 days to drive a broken car back, a week to get it ‘fixed’, only to find out by my mechanic that nothing was done. Worst car purchase experience of my life, and now I’m paying $1200 to fix a car that they sold me last month. Lied to by every person I dealt with. Told the manager would stand by the product, we will see. Also told they charge $1000 on top of the listed price to pay for the owners yacht! Unbelievable. Stay away.

Steer clear of salesman FRANK D. In 6 emails back and forth with him confirming there was an accord sport for me to test drive then likely order I agreed to drive 1 hour to meet him. I asked him please... whatever you do... don't send me out there to try and sell me another car. He said of course not. I arrive and he pretends to look for the car in the lot knowing it's already gone. Now he's trying to show me a 4 year old car. I became frustrated that it's going to be 2 hours on the road and you do not have the car as you had promised the evening before. He became nasty to me and told me I was playing games. Yes I was delayed and late for our meet due to an accident and sitting in stopped traffic which I apologized for upon arrival and you said no big deal. He said he had no way to communicate with me which is a total fallacy for we were communicating back and forth via email. He says he couldn't reach me via phone I do not know why. If there was a typo on my online request for info it was not intentional.
I wanted to speak to a salesman. Then he proceeded to blame me via email telling me it's not always the salesmen's fault it's the customers fault. Nerve of him. I went to another dealership directly after this nasty encounter with Frank. Bought the car and took it home that same day which I sent him pictures to prove I wasn't playing games. He is a nasty person and if you get him request someone else.

Beware of the bait and switch advertising gimmick. They send you a flyer stating you've won cash you call to verify only to get there and find out its not the case. Won't do business with people that resort to dishonest trickery. Don't waste my time or yours.
And the salesman Frank must think its the 1900s because he didn't even lift the hood or start the car.... because I am going to come back with my husband.....

Honestly one of the worst car dealerships around this area. Test drove a jeep that had weed or cigarette ashes all in the cup holder. Sales man was a know it all, acted like our price range was $5 and couldn’t possibly ever find a vehicle. Walked 2 inches from your heels, didn’t let you get a word in & just straight up annoying.
Well guess what… went to SARASOTA HONDA & found exactly what I was looking for. Sales girl was so nice and manager was awesome. Don’t waste your time on this location.

Bait and switch. Inquired about a used vehicle. Got me all excited for a good deal and then drove an hour to make it happen. Vehicle was "already sold" when I arrived. Message me 1 hour before my appt to make sure I was coming and didnt tell me the vehicle wasnt there anymore. Tried selling me on a new one that was out of my price range. Terrible service. When I arrived I had a different salesman than who I talked to on the phone and he was great (Frank).

I send a request email to see a vehicle, then I set up appointment and like always in a untrusted dealership I drive one hour for nothing, they sold the vehicle 😳🤣🤣🤣. Unfortunately this reflect a poor management team!!! Keep the good job and hoping for a better training!!

This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I was a cash buyer. The used car sales team and two internet used car sales managers never followed up with me and failed to follow through with their assurance that they would draft the contract and provide me with the photos videos and pertinent information so that I could purchase the vehicle. I made it clear that I wanted to purchase the car and was prepared to tender payment immediately because I did not want to risk having someone purchase the car. When I called to follow up they informed me that the car was just sold. I have never been more disappointed in a Honda dealership by the way I was treated as a Hispanic, military navy veteran and an ambassador for Honda of North America with the S2000 club during the inaugural Indy Race in St. Petersburg. The sales team and managers don’t even deserve a 1 star rating. I recommend that minorities and military veterans do not do business with this dealership.

Terrible! Wish I could give them 0 stars.. There must have been a change in management at this dealership. They used to be great. I bought my 3rd car from here recently and as soon as the ink was dry the sales manager was incredibly rude and condescending. I took it up with the General Manager the next day. He was almost as bad. I will NEVER buy another car from these guys... It's worth the drive to go to another dealer!!!

The original price was 20,397 i dont really quite understand why the price on paperwork after i signed and received the paperwork 2 days after i purchased the car, the sale price went up to 22,k plus and hidden charges was unexpected i end up owing 26k plus for this car honda pilot ,...ohh well what can i do i already sign the papers, i guess i learn my lesson ,but i will definitely not recommend this honda dealer in venice for sure ,they talk fast and the price went up i never heard i have to pay the recondition for the car ,on top of it i put down 2500.00 and still the numbers went to 26k... so hard to find honest people now a days , so guys be aware ,for the hidden charges

I spoke to these folks multiple times over the course of a week after finding a car i wanted on autotrader. They tried to get me to finance through them even though i had told them i was paying cash, they wanted me to give them specifications on my vehicle requirements in case the used car was sold before i arrived on friday and i had to "settle" for something else, they called and texted multiple times a day and finally friday came , they called and told me that "the car had some lights come on on it so they were sending it for wholesale through another party and it wouldnt be available for sale". I am so irritated.

Sales staff needs a serious attitude adjustment, specifically austin. It took a great deal of time to get someone on the phone when he finally answered he was incredibly pushy and didn't like that I told him the bottom dollar was my motivator. When he inquired what was going to be my motivation to finally come in and see the car I reiterated that I wanted to know if there were any other incentives to bring down the price and if they could do anything on the bottom dollar that he knew how to contact me and he proceeded to hang up on me. Very unprofessional.
