Theft I took my 2004 RAV4 in for the airbag recall notice. They did not have the part in stock even though I had called and made an appointment the day befo I took my 2004 RAV4 in for the airbag recall notice. When I got home I noticed my spare change in the cubby between the front seats was missing. All the quarters, dimes and nickels were gone and I was left with the pennies. I called the service department and told them what had happened and he said he would report it to the Finance Manager the next morning. It's been over two weeks and no phone call or anything. More

This is what Scotty Gibson done for me as I went through the car buying process of purchasing my used 2012 Honda Civic a few weeks ago. As I was picking up my car the 1st thing I noticed were some issues with my windows having a severe case of acid rain on them is what they told me. If it was left up to that dealership they would have let me ride off in the Sunset with them just like that, not being able to see at night through them. A couple more issues were some rust spots on the hood and only providing me with ONE key. Scotty immediately went to speak with someone about them and assured me the issues would be taken care of. Scotty picked my car up a few days later to do the repairs but informed me later that day they couldn’t fix it. They tried some other BOOTLEG things with no results. After taking my car back & forth a couple weeks & it being almost time to pay my car's 1st payment they finally decided to take it to a professional tint company who informed Scotty it would have to be re-tinted and it was too dark anyway and would never have pass inspection. Toyota had given it the THUMBS -UP according to the inspection they done…of course it passed with them….that’s a no brainer…they were the ones who inspected it. Long story short they solved the window problem and I love them. Even though they said they would fix the rust spots but after having to spend money on the windows… they reneged on that...Really…this are a multi million dollar company OK… I assume that’s how they became so rich... I DARE not ask them for my second key because that might just take them over the edge…I didn’t think a few more dollars would kill them…you think… Of course I’m a SHARK when it comes to sticking by your word even if it's a used car so… Where’s My Second KEY…… and can you fix those rust spots… So I would NOT be recommending any of my family and friends here because it's clear the word Customer Service has a different meaning to Vann York. If my family and friends Just Had to Come Here, I would certainly recommended dealing with Scotty Gibson he made my experience worth buying that car…rust spots, one key and all thanks again. I turn in my 2012 Camry in 1 month advance before my lease end, the rep (named Jerry) promised me he will take care my car and don't worry any charge in order to get another new lease for another new camry. End up this promised went to drain. I got charged $242 for wear and tear, and the finance company said this is what I need to pay and both SETF and Vann York Toyota kicking ball to each other. I did my survey to Toyota and complain about this situation, few weeks later a lady called me and asked me why my comment was no good at all and explained to her, she promised will get back to me and end up no news. So, Toyota , Vann York Toyota Dealer and SETF all 3 parties can't get back to me for any answer. I think they don't care about my business and that's fine, out there still has a lot of better brand but cheaper price than TOYOTA...... More

Great listener with a sense of humor We found Richard Hartmann to be a great listener who tailored our wishes rather than trying to sell us what he wanted us to buy. Unlike many car salespersons, Richard was authentic, not slick. There were no games. We asked for him to help us select a vehicle because we came to the dealership not really clear which vehicle we wanted. We chose Richard because when we bought a Prius at this same dealership 5 years earlier, he was the only employee to apologize for our 6-8 hr wait to take delivery of the car during the "cash for clunkers" process. If Richard Hartmann was not at Vann York dealership, I doubt that we would have purchased at this time. More
