I was looking for a Honda Pilot and when I went to Vann York Honda, I was met by JT Allen. We test drove a used 2010, but walked away without buying because my wife and I were just getting into the shoppi York Honda, I was met by JT Allen. We called JT only to learn the Pilot we wanted had been sold. He then enticed us with a new Pilot. JT worked up a great price on a 2011 Pilot, but it was a different model from what we wanted. His offer on the 2011 was very enticing. But in the end, we didn't want to "settle" for that model. I asked JT if we (he or I) found a Pilot at another dealer and we wanted it, could he buy from that dealer so we could buy from him? He said not it could not work like that on a used car. That was too bad because I felt comfortable with him and wanted to buy from him. So he knew what we were looking for in a Pilot and to keep his eyes open. Unfortunately, we found exactly what we wanted but at another dealer. I say all of this because, I wanted to make a positive review of JT Allen and Vann York Honda. The only reason why we did not buy from them was because they did not have in inventory the exact Pilot we were looking for at the time we were ready. They had one, but we took too long to make a decision and by the time we were ready it was sold. I live in High Point and when it comes time to service my Honda, I will most certainly try Vann York Honda for our service request. I hope their Service Dept. is just as good to work with as JT Allen was. More
It is a nice dealership with a great waiting area for service. I haven't experienced the service side of the business yet, but I feel it will be just fine. Terrance East (and everyone else that was involved in my purchase) were all very friendly and knowlegable. I came here on a recommendation of a friend and I would not hesitate to send friends here. I feel that my deal was fair but I did not shop the price around, so I can't be completely positive of how well I did. I doesn't really matter all that much as the dealership certainly should be able to make a fair profit in any event. More
I would recommend this dealership, in fact my aunt also purchased a new vehicle a week after I, my mother and my father leasted three vehicles. I have one uncle in negotiations on a Highlander and another purchased a new vehicle a week after I, my mother and my father leasted three vehicles. I have one uncle in negotiations on a Highlander and another uncle looking into a leasing or purchasing a vehicle with Vann York Toyota. The only complaint I have is that while signing paper work I inquired about payment due dates. I get paid on the 15th of every month and typically my paycheck does not clear the bank until the 16th. My payment dates are scheduled for the 15th of every month. I asked about getting the date changed due to that fact. I was informed it would be a simple matter of calling the loan company and requesting the date to be changed. Upon calling the company it is not so easy. There is a $50 charge for a seven day payment due date move or $80 for ten days are more. Naturally having just put money down on the lease's first payment that is a bit steep, and definately not a "simple" process. This information should have been presented at signing when I inquired, not placed as a surprise later. This information could have been the difference between signing or not. I think such a charge is steep for something so small. After such an extremely good experience, this bit of information is dissappointing. More
