Jim did well. Buying a car is a big game, so we can drop the pretense that a dealer is actually out to save anyone anything; if they were, they would go out of business. Jim knew there would be some back-and-forth on the sale price of the car, and handled it well. I had to be firm, and so did he. I don't think I was an "easy" customer. Vann-York did try the "there are a couple others coming to look at this car" routine, which was annoying, but part of the game, I guess. This was probably the best dealer car-buying experience I have had. My distance from them (2.5 hrs) will probably hinder the chances of doing future business with them unless I happen upon another good deal there. That would be the only reason I would look elsewhere. This is my second Camry from Vann York. I went with a friend to see the Corolla that she wanted and when I saw the new Camry I couldn't leave without it. We were met with a smile and handshake. We new exactly what we wanted and Charles Martin served as our salesman. He brought the car we were interested in around - Camry LE, Cypress Pearl. When we came to Van York Toyota, we were just looking at the new Camry. Our honest decision was just to look not buy. Jim met us when we got there, he talked to us about the different versions of the Camr the new Camry. Our honest decision was just to look not buy. Jim met us when we got there, he talked to us about the different versions of the Camry and the SE sounded great. We went out and looked at the different colors and options. I really liked the SE models. I test drove a V6 and the 4 cylinder Camry. I really liked the 18 inch wheels but the ride was not as smooth as the 17 inch wheels. I was very impressed with Jim's knowledge of the mechanics and the electronics of both cars. After careful consideration of all the information Jim had related, we chose the 4 cylinder RED Camry (my first choice of color).
