service department I arrived 5:37pm and was told by service department staff named KC (dont know if thats his exact name as i heard him being called by his co employee) I arrived 5:37pm and was told by service department staff named KC (dont know if thats his exact name as i heard him being called by his co employee) that they are closing. He turned me down for my oil change, he said they will be close at 6pm. I explained to Mr. KC if he can consider as I drove from a different city just to have my service! but he didn't budged in, He even waited for me to get off the line for service and turned me down. Im lucky that day that Mr. Steve Byrd the manager of service dept. and Robb ( mechanic guy) graciously accommodate me. Staff like Steve and Robb are the reason customers like me wants to come back again. I am getting my 3rd car from honda Vann York this august.. I got my Pilot and CRV from this dealership and I will not get tired getting my 3rd and 4th from them. Just sad some staff are not customer friendly like what i had encountered in service dept. But Steve and Robb redeemed my trust!! By the way, the service dept. office hours is till 6pm. I arrived 5:37pm left the dept at 6:10pm..Thank you Robb for staying 10min more for my car.That extra minutes you stayed makes me a loyal customer of Vann York Honda!! More

Ask for Al I recently purchased a new Insight from Vann York Honda, and had a great experience working with Al Hosley. I test drove the vehicle with Al, and received a price quote from the manager, Richard. Richard's offer wasn't much to my liking, and he didn't seem all that concerned with my needs as a customer. He was definitely only interested in selling cars, full stop. I didn't speak to him directly for the rest of the process, and if I had, I probably would have taken my business to another dealer. Al, however, showed a genuine interest in my needs as a customer, and kept contact with me throughout the purchasing process. We negotiated back and forth for a couple weeks, and were eventually able to agree on a price. After agreeing to the price, Al had all of my paperwork ready to go before I arrived at my appointment time, so finalizing our deal didn't take much time at all. The dealer was able to bring in the exterior color that I wanted in just 24 hours, which was a really great service. When I arrived the following day to pick up my car, it took 90 minutes for them to bring me three pieces of paper to sign, and to get a temporary plate for the Insight. During that time, numerous sales associates and a couple managers were clearly not busy with other customers. I thought this was a very disappointing way to end an otherwise smooth process by having to wait for so long right at the end, but overall my experience was positive with this dealership. If you are shopping at this dealer, I wholeheartedly recommend asking to work with Al. If you have a specific vehicle in mind that you want to try, he will not try to up-sell you on a different model. He knows the vehicles, and respects the customer. More
