Told me I needed 1600 dollars worth of work and didnt. A year ago I took my Buick Lacrosse to Vann York to have an insepction done. After they finished everything they told me my passanger hub was bad, tire rods where bad, and I needed 4 new tires. With all of that I failed my inspection and was told it would cost $1600. I did not have that kind of money so I parked my car until I could save $1600. Since that day I have had 2 mechanics look at my car and I did need new tires, but that was it. I am upset that because I trusted what the Vann York mechainc said my car has set for an entire year, because I leave pay check to pay check. I am not sure why I was told all this work needed to be done, but I will never take my car to be worked on at Vann York. I carpooled and borrowed a car. When the whole time my car was fine! More

Buying a used car is definitely an experience not a good one I have been to this dealer four different times to buy a used car over the past 10 years. The only reason I did go there is because they had the car on the lot I wanted and I am a loyal Chevy owner. This place is a ham and egg operation with the shadiest of characters working there. The Finance department is even worse who in one breath say you cant afford to have two car payments and try to convince you to trade in your car that's upside down resulting in a new car payment of almost 900.00 for a car that is already 5 years old at twice the interest rate you are currently paying. In addition their cars are way overpriced. Do your research first we wound up going to Terry Labonte and purchased almost the same exact car without having to trade in our old one and at a lower interest rate within the same week we visited this dealership. From there it was a very pleasant experience. We identified the vehicle we were interested in, were given an opportunity to test drive the vehicle, and once we agreed upon a price the deal was done. I'm certainly a no nonsense type of guy and I was looking for a dealership that got straight to the bottom line. What I was most impressed with was the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. Steve Smith (Sales Consultant) and Erik Rodriguez (Finance Consultant) made the process seamless. Any time you purchase a new vehicle it takes some time due to the required forms, but when dealing with quality personnel it makes the process easier. We wanted manufactured navigation system, not on star navigation (the car we traded in had the manufactured navigation), we asked Clay if the vehicle we were looking at had this and he said yes, but it has on star navigation. We purchased the SRX used and the CUE system was froze and needed to be replaced, so at the time we purchased the car we couldn't use any of these features and didn't know for sure exactly what type of navigation it had on it. Clay told us it would be replaced in 2 wks , it was 2 1/2 months before they got the new system in because it was on a national back order, which Clay didn't tell us. When we got the new system installed it didn't have the navigation that we wanted, it has the on star navigation, so to say the least we are not happy with our first experience with Vann York or with Clay Hudson.
