We had the option to go someplace else, but we had seen good deals online and thought to give it a shot. Once we pulled up, Marc greeted us in the parking lot. My wife mentioned to me that she had a bad feeling about the sales rep., but we went ahead and gave him shot. As we asked about vans, his knowledge wasn’t extensive as to what we were asking for. My wife and I understand that we have to start from somewhere in order to grow, but he wasn’t providing much assistance. My wife and I were doing the looking and the choosing. We spotted a Grey used Toyota Sienna that was parked on the lot. To be very honest, if it were not for the manager we wouldn’t have purchased it. He worked on pricing and offered a good deal. The sales rep wasn’t as attentive or energetic. We felt like another dollar sign instead of an opportunity to sell a car and leave a great impression for Vandergriff Toyota. As we completed the final inspection on the van, we noticed that a big chunk was missing from the tire and the wheel had a gash. One of the employees that was parking the van ran it up the curb and caused the damage (as stated by Marc). The tire pressure light was on as well. Before I signed, I asked the manager about getting the wheel and the tire exchanged, he agreed and added it as a promise. I was satisfied and the deal was closed. I even purchased the extra MPP insurance for the vehicle. With all this stated, our sales rep is to be an active part of our purchasing process; during and after. He is supposed to be our main contact for whatever issue arises. Marc said he would call when the wheel and tire came in so we waited. 2 ½ weeks went by and nothing. Not a single call. I had to call him. Customer service is an important aspect of doing a job the right way. He finally responded after a few failed attempt of me trying to communicate with Marc. He said to come in that it would be taken care of. We scheduled a date for Thursday, October 12th in which I took the day off from work. Marc stated that the wheel and tire would be in. I took the van in. Marc greeted my wife and I, because I texted him that we were there. He also stated that he would check up on us. Then 3 hours we were there, we didn’t even see his shadow drift by. My name was called. My wife and I waited 3 hours to get only the tire changed. The wheel wasn’t replaced because there was no communication between the sales rep and the mechanics. I strongly believe in keeping a calendar and being organized. If one promises, then one should deliver. Marc stated that the wheel guy would be there, but he wasn’t. I took a day off from work with no success. I don’t think the wait time would have been an issue if the job was getting done completely. Marc should have investigated before making us drive from Forney to Arlington to spend three hours on just getting a tire changed. My thoughts on returning the van to Vandergriff and purchasing elsewhere still lingers, but I have decided to contact you first. Thank you kindly for your time and your assistance in this matter. Sincerely, Wilbert Reyes More
Terrible Sales Experience I asked for an internet price on a RAV4 and when I arrived at dealership they raised price $2,000. Also, Sales Manager smelled like smoke and said it I asked for an internet price on a RAV4 and when I arrived at dealership they raised price $2,000. Also, Sales Manager smelled like smoke and said it was a different vehicle but it wasn’t. Also I overheard some racial remarks from their staff about people who had airchecks. I had heard a lot of bad things about them but wanted to give them a chance I think I will go to Grapevine in the future a co-worker told me they were very friendly and make really good deals More

Throughout the process, he was attentive and friendly, genuinely seeking to help us find exactly what we were looking for. I really appreciated his approach, not pushy, but more like a friend just trying to help us. He had great follow through, walking us through the process through the end of the sale, then later following up to make sure we were happy with the vehicle. He said, " We are family now ". So far, he has made me feel that way. Having worked in customer service most of my life, I really appreciate that kind of effort. More

We researched the reviews of salespeople at Toyota dealerships all over the DFW Metroplex and John had the best reviews. We made an appointment with John and informed him that we wanted to look at a Sienna that we found online. When we arrived he had the van pulled around front ready for us to view.
