I emailed dealership to see if they had a certain 2010 Toyota Highlander, I quickly received a response from internet Manager Rich Calzaretta. Rich informed me that the vehicle was in stock, and answered Toyota Highlander, I quickly received a response from internet Manager Rich Calzaretta. Rich informed me that the vehicle was in stock, and answered all my questions, so I called Rich to schedule to come out that evening after work. When I arrived Rich already had the vehicle pulled up front waiting for me. We then test drove the vehicle, as Rich showed me and my wife how to operate all of its many features. When we returned I was preparing for the haggling to begin, even though I had already been quoted a price online. Rich did take some more information from me, and I advised him I had a trade in, I had not previously told him about, but I already had an idea what it was worth because we had been shopping around for the past 2 weekends. Rich took my trade had a manager look at it, then brought me an offer, which was exactly what he told me online, but gave me $1100.00 more for my trade than anyone else. I also had intended to finance with my credit union and they beat my credit unions rate by more than a whole percent. Rich quickly finished my paperwork, introduced me to the business manager who then finished my financing paperwork within 25 minutes, it was a wonderful experience compared to the previous hassles we have had buying an automobile. I will defiantly come back to buy again from Vandergriff, and from Rich. Thank you so much for making this a painless, and honest experience. More

I was looking for a new car. I thought about different makes and based on reputation stopped in a Toyota dealership. Upon my arrival I was acknowledged and greeted with a smile. I test drove two different makes and based on reputation stopped in a Toyota dealership. Upon my arrival I was acknowledged and greeted with a smile. I test drove two different cars and with the guidance of Ronnie Whitlock opted to get a 2010 Camry SE. I love the car, it is a smooth ride, it gets great gas mileage compared to my previous vehicle, and I feel safe driving it on the raods. Overall, I recommend this dealership because they are customer oriented, are knowledgeable about their product, have a great number of different models and colors to choose from, and they offer complimentary coffee! Thank you again. More
Lee Perran and Vandergriff Toyota were wonderful! We went to other dealers but they were the most professional. We picked out a new Toyota Camry and we love it! They also gave me a free 100,000 mile warranty to other dealers but they were the most professional. We picked out a new Toyota Camry and we love it! Craig gave me a tour introducing me to a service person so I would know someone when I came in for my first service. Everyone was really friendly, even Shannon, the "mean" guy making the deal up in the box! He asked what the problem was with the price, and I told him what I could pay. That is what I paid!!! More
My husband and I are both in our 60's and have excellent credit. On a recent Saturday, we test drove a 2009 Prius. Impossible to deal with Vandergriff on any reasonable price, so we moved on to working wit credit. On a recent Saturday, we test drove a 2009 Prius. Impossible to deal with Vandergriff on any reasonable price, so we moved on to working with another dealership. Got a call from the salesman(D) at Vandergriff several days later. This was on the evening of the recent ice storm. He told us he had a car for us at the price we wanted with the package we wanted. Our request was for a 2009 Prius with package 2 and we had discussed that with him several times. So,we bundled up and went to Vandergriff to see the Silver Pine Mica Prius. Drove a quick test drive in the parking lot.Salesman kept mentioning that the car had only 44 miles on it. Pushing us to sign the paperwork right then and it could be detailed and taken home then. As we are walking to his office, the words "2008" come out of his mouth. My husband and I looked at each other stunned. That had never been mentioned. Then he wrote the numbers 22,900 plus T.T.and L on a blank piece of paper and tried to get my husband to sign it. He was told we wanted to see the figures on a itemized form. A form was forth coming that had the price,TTand L. and various other dealership "fees". He also brought another form for us to sign stating that we knew the car had been damaged during shipment. He alleged that the paint scratches on the outside had been fixed and of course in the rain we had not seen them or been shown "damages". We reminded him that that the price they were quoting for a damaged,"virtually a used car" was only about $400 less than we could get a "new" Prius for. He offered to see if he could lower $250 more. While he was gone,a form we saw on his desk showed the VIN and the paper showed no warranty but "AS IS". He told us then they had to sell it as a used vehicle because it was titled in a corporate name since it was a fleet car. AS WE RAN NOT WALKED OUT TO OUR TRUCK, we noticed that one of the "scratches" that had alledgedly been fixed was a dent about half the size of a fist. We both have the feeling that there is something else wrong with this vehicle that would have eventually turned up when we would be helpless to do anything about it. The point I would like to make is they piece mealed all the information about this car instead of telling us the truth all the while trying to get their forms signed and repeating only "44 miles." This was truly an attempt at a bait and switch. I have lived in Arlington for over 45 years and I feel sorry for Tom Vandergriff having his name associated with this sleazy operation. Oh, by the way the salesman and the dealership people called us and tried to get our business back--are you kidding me! We bought exactly what we wanted today at Pat Lobb Toyota of McKinney. No fuss,no muss and refreshingly honest and helpful. Thanks, Steve. More
I seldom write reviews, however, after reading the one with an experience almost identical to mine, I felt obligated to share what happened at Vandergriff Toyota. We were in the market for a Toyota 4runn with an experience almost identical to mine, I felt obligated to share what happened at Vandergriff Toyota. We were in the market for a Toyota 4runner - called and yes, they said they had exactly what we wanted. We went to the dealership and explained to the salesman who greeted us who we were and what we wanted. The salesman asked for our trade in car keys and walked away. After waiting more than 30 minutes, and asking every other salesman to help, our salesman finally returned. When we asked to see the 4runner, were were told no, they in fact did not have the 4runner we wanted, but could order it - could not even find it in a 5 state area. When we asked for our keys back, the salesman refused to give them to us, said the used car sales department had them. When we insisted on getting our keys back the salesman berated us for using his time and not buying a car, telling us we were nothing less than frauds for pretending to want a new car and then refusing to allow him to order one for us. The salesman walked off and did not return. We sat for at least another 20 minutes until I walked into the employees only area of the sales office and demanded to see the manager - not on duty - and refuse to leave the area until we got our car keys back. Our car was delivered to the front of the building, the person got out of the car, left it running and the door open and walked off, no comment, not looking back. I tried to call the dealership the next day to speak with the manager - he never returned my call. In nearly 50 years of car buying, it was the worst example of salesmanship and customer service I have ever experienced. As a side note, I called a Fort Worth Toyota dealership, was told on the phone they did not have the car in stock, they found one in Oklahoma, asked us to come in to test drive the same vehicle, different options so we would be happy with our purchase, had the used car sales person come to the area to look at the trade in, he did take it for a drive (and I am sure to check it out), returned the keys while we were talking with our salesman, and the dealership called the next day to ask if their cutomer service was adequate and if we had any further questions about the car we wanted to purchase. The difference between experiences is remarkable. I refuse to take our new 4 runner - purchased in Fort Worth - to Arlington for service, even though we are Arlington residents. More
