To whom it may concern, On Monday July 26, I began To whom it may concern, On Monday July 26, I began working with KC DeMinds to find and purchase a 2010 RAV 4 Limited with V6, Window tint, Floor mats To whom it may concern, On Monday July 26, I began working with KC DeMinds to find and purchase a 2010 RAV 4 Limited with V6, Window tint, Floor mats, Navigation package, Tow prep package, Blizzard pearl exterior, Ash interior, and a Trailer hitch with wiring. On Tuesday afternoon, KC called me and informed me that he had found the vehicle I requested, and we agreed to a drive out price of $31,500 (T, T, & L included). I agreed to stop by on Wednesday and pay a deposit and the vehicle was to be delivered on Thursday July 29. On Wednesday, KC informed me that the RAV 4 had arrived. When I asked about the trailer hitch installation status, KC stated that it was being taken care of. When I arrived Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. I met KC and he showed me a RAV 4 without the trailer hitch. KC stated that I would receive a check for $365 to use at a local trailer hitch shop. When I sat down with KC, he presented me with a price quote of $31,700(drive out) and asked me to consider paying more than we had agreed ($31,500 drive out). I did reluctantly agree to $31,600 drive out with the stipulation that KC would have the trailer hitch installed at the local hitch shop on Thursday, and I would return on Thursday to pay for the vehicle once it was in the originally agreed upon condition. I met with Joseph at 8:30 p.m. and went through all the paperwork and I signed all of the relevant materials. Before signing, Joseph called in Sean to give me a written guarantee about trailer hitch installation and he agreed to drop the price down to the original agreement of $31,500 drive out. On Thursday July 29, KC called and informed me that "they" wanted to back out of the deal. KC (and later Sean) informed me that acid from the VIN etching process was left on the windows and had ruined all of the windows. Sean stated he would not sell me that vehicle and that he was not sure what he would do with it. Sean did say that he would try to find me another vehicle but he did not sound very hopeful. Sean indicated that the vehicle is insured but did not offer to have the windows fixed by insurance and then complete our transaction. He did emphasize that he would not sell me the RAV 4 with the ruined windows. Now, I have signed paperwork, no RAV 4, $31,500 cash, and no confidence in Sean looking for or finding a RAV 4 with the specifications that had previously been agreed to. The whole thing sounds fishy. Is this how Vandergriff treats all of its potential customers? Does Vandergriff always quote one price then raise it at the last second? Does Vandergriff make a habit of stating that a vehicle is ready (the trailer hitch is being installed) and then offering to give a client a check instead of presenting the client a fully prepared RAV 4 as agreed upon? As a single female your always a bit apprehensive about going through the whole buying a new car senario. This is the second vehicle I have bought from this dealership and both times I have had great a exp going through the whole buying a new car senario. There was no pressure and it was quick and easy. The staff is very friendly and when I would bring my other vehicle in for maintenance the service has always been terrific. Because we had phoned earlier to ask about a particular vehicle, K.C. met us at the door and brought the car for us to test drive. There was never any pressure to buy, but when we indicated we were interested, K.C. went right to work taking required information and negotiating our trade-in value. The financial representative was quick and thorough and took "no" for an answer the first time if he suggested a service we didn't want. The dealership was extremely clean and all the employees were friendly. I would definitely recommend Vandergriff Toyota to anyone, and I will be back to buy my next car in a few years. More

Took my car in for service and was greeted in the waiting area by Shannon Ashford the general sales manager.
