5Mile On Tuesday, May 23 at about 6:00 PM I called Vandergriff Honda after I had found a specific used car that I wanted . A gentleman by the name of TJ an On Tuesday, May 23 at about 6:00 PM I called Vandergriff Honda after I had found a specific used car that I wanted . A gentleman by the name of TJ answered the phone and I began to explain my circumstancess. Then I asked him if they provided financing for people with not so perfect credit. I also advised him that I had another Dealer that was able to work with me, but they did not have the vehicle that I wanted. In addition, I advised him that time was of the essence.! He was very friendly and told me that he would take my details to his finance manager and to give a call back. I knew it was late in the day so I waited to hear back from the next day and I had not. After not hearing from TJ on Wednesday May 24, I called into Vandergriff Honda to speak with TJ on Thusday May 25th The receptionist asked " ....which one would you like to speak with? We have a TJ in sales and TJ the sales manager?....." I responded TJ in sales. When the transfer went through I was speaking to a gentleman who sounded like John Leguizzamo. He introduces himself as the sales manager and told me that TJ in sales would not be in until 10:45 am and he proceeded to ask me if he could help me. I advised him that I'd prefer to wait for TJ as I had already discussed the details with him. So I called back around 1:00 PM after I had not heard from him. Then I called again at 2:00 PM. TJ the sales was still not available. A man who addressed himself as the sales manager again asked how he could help ( not sure if this was TJ the sales manger). I explained some of my situation and the gentleman advised that I come out to the dealership. I advised him that I had no transportation to get there, and that public transportation would get me 4 miles from their location.. He then told me to get there that he'd have someone pick me up from UTA location. This was at 2:00 PM, I was on the 2:40 PM bus. Prior to boarding I got a call from a young lady by the name of Sarah who asked me to call her when I arrived. During my transport I received a call from a gentleman by the name of Demond who informed me that he would be picking me up as Sarah had gotten tied up. With the connection of buses, trains and more buses I was scheduled to arrive at the UTA transport system at 5:30. I shared this information with Demind. He said " OK, call us when you get there. I called when I arrived after I didn't see anyone that looked like they may be Demond waiting for me at the UTA transit center. I called in and was placed on hold for long periods of time while the receptionist attempted to find out who was coming to pick me up. She said she would have someone call me. When I didn't get a call back in 15 minutes I called back and got the receptionist again at this time it was about 6:15. I advised her that I was still waiting at the UTA transit center and was wondering if anyone was going to pick me up? The receptionist said she would definitely have someone call me. 20 minutes later I get a call from Sarah who asked me where have I been?? She's been calling me all day ( I checked my call logs and she called me twice 5 minutes before this actual call and then once while I was in transit at about 3:30 PM. I advised her at that time that I was told by Demond that she was unavailable and that he would be picking me up. She advised me at about 6:40 that she's on her way. She said she was unfamiliar with the area because she was new here; and she asked me if I had an address of the UTA Transport Center which I did not. I told her that I was at the UTA Transport Center on the corner of Center and UTA Ave. She said she was on her way. I waited and waited. I called her cell phone twice; and sent her several text messages (one which included the address to the location ). I got no response. I finally called back and got a gentleman in used salesanswered the phon. iHe advised me that both the TJ's, Sara and Demond all worked in new sales and that he wanted to know how he could help. At this time I was hot, frustrated and had a hard time accepting that I had accomplished nothing in this day. I patiently explained to the used car salesman what had transpired. He advised me that he would have the sales manager call me. After I did not hear anything in 15 mins I called back in. After being rebriefed on what had transpired.the sales manager gets on the phone with me and apologizes. He said "....you're not buying a new car?." I replied no. He then told me that they don't offer rides to people buying used cars,! and he apologized and asked me if I could get in there tomorrow. I was not looking forward to going through this again. I'm sure in auto sales that management will stress the importance of having a customer in front of you. Instead of attempting close deals over the phone. However, it's not easy to get there on public transportation . It was about 8:00 PM by now. The sales manager then transferred me to Anna in used cars. She said that she would have someone call this morning. It's now Friday May 26th at 11:30 am and no one has called me as of yet. As a result of not getting effective communication I missed the last bus home and had to walk 5 MILES from the Inwood/Love Field DART transit system. I walked in my door at 12:30 am. I am giving them 2 stars because everyone that I spoke with was very friendly. I am going to give Vandergriff Honda the opportunity to right this for me. Iif they can I will write an additional review advising the readers of the level of customer car that I received the second time around. I would have never written this review but that very long and dangerous walk home is the catalyst for this review. BTW I'm still waiting on my call. More
Pleasure Doing usiness with Honda I went to the dealership just to look around not intending to purchase a car. After speaking with Daniel McEwen he was able to answer all my questions I went to the dealership just to look around not intending to purchase a car. I was not prepared to purchase the car I had no cash on me, I walked out of the dealership with a brand new Honda CR-V. Thanks to Daniel and his finance team. More
