Horrible car buying experience! Bad dealership! I am extremely upset and in fact traumatised after my purchase experience at Vandergriff Honda. They made my car buying process absolutely horrendous I am extremely upset and in fact traumatised after my purchase experience at Vandergriff Honda. They made my car buying process absolutely horrendous and extremely stressful. They took away the excitement of buying a car. They wasted so much of my time, I had to take my car back several times just to get it detailed properly and have a big scratch repaired. I got one of the senior managers Cade Simpson involved, he turned out to be super unprofessional and just ignored my calls and emails. Stay away folks or just be very cautious dealing with these guys. Also: - Be prepared to spend 3+ hours to complete the purchase process once you decide on a vehicle. - If you decide to do the finance through them m, be aware that your credit will be hit multiple times, It effected my credit rating massively, it has dropped 70 points, where the sales manager lied to me saying that the drop will only be 4 or 5 points. - Once you buy a used or pre-owned certified vehicle there's no cool off period, the car is yours after you sign the paperwork. My salesperson told me that there's a 3 day cool off period, not true. These lot are only nice to you until you make the purchase the sales team doesn't wanna deal with you or use any pleasantries afterward. More

After researching mid-size SUVs, I had narrowed down to Infiniti QX60, Acura MDX, Toyota Highlander, and Honda P I highly recommend Vandergriff Honda! After researching mid-size SUVs, I had narrowed down to Infiniti QX60, Acura MDX, Toyota Highlander, and Honda Pilot. Test drove a Highlander - too small and the dealership had 5 different people calling me every 5 minutes after I left. Drove a Pilot at another dealership and loved it, but the salesman wouldn't toss an offer my way before I left (in other words, "Lets sit down so we can do the whole back and forth with the manager game for hours." NO thank you!!) Therefore, I wasn't inclined to go back there. Drove an Infiniti in Grapevine and literally felt held hostage at the dealership. The first car I drove had too many cosmetic issues but they kept trying to get me to buy it and THEN they would fix it. Ummm, NO! The 2nd car I was VERY interested in couldn't be found on the lot. "Just 10 minutes mam." "We found it! 15 more minutes mam." "One of the other salespeople is holding it. He can't do that. Let me talk to the manager. Give us 20 minutes!" On and on and ON. Finally drove it and probably would have bought it, but after all the run around I was totally drained and sick to death of them and they wouldn't negotiate because "someone else wants to buy it right now, You better hurry!" FYI - as of 2 days ago the car was still there. Hmmm. Bet they wished they had negotiated... The manager on duty was a jerk. I walked away feeling dirty and extremely annoyed. Anyway, called Vandergriff Honda as recommended by a friend, and spoke to the GM, Yuni. He promised me no hassle and set me up with an awesome sales guy, Charlie Martinez. They offered me their best deal on a new Pilot. Test drove the vehicle and bought it that night! It was NO HASSLE and little time even though it was the evening of the last day of the month - a very busy time for dealers. Yuni runs a very tight ship there. His staff members are very professional and courteous, not fake nice and pushy. And Honda makes very good and reliable cars that last FOREVER. My sister had a Pilot that went over 240k miles and still running but decided to trade in for a new one! Also my mechanic friend said I would've regretted the Infiniti anyway because they are expensive to fix after warranty expires. Hondas are not expensive to fix. I feel very good about my decision and the dealership I bought from. Buy a Honda and go to Vandergriff in Arlington! You won't regret it! More
