Buyer Beware!!! WOW! Most horrible experience ever buying a car. Purchased a low-mileage 2018 CRV from Anna Lane in used cars. It has now been back five times in the WOW! Most horrible experience ever buying a car. Purchased a low-mileage 2018 CRV from Anna Lane in used cars. It has now been back five times in the month we've owned it. After three different trips to pick up the car, go back to get the floor mats, go back again to get the remote reprogrammed, the AC went out in 108-degree weather. Learned that several 2018 models are coming from the factory with overcharged AC, which causes it to cut out when it gets hot. Spoke with Dwayne Thomas from the finance organization, who was primarily concerned with ensuring that we finalized the financing with Capital One who they sold the loan to. He also mentioned that if the AC was going to go out, you'd expect it to do that when it gets hot (very helpful...). He's the same guy who was pushing the extended warranty so hard, he gave it to us "below cost" (wonder why...) It's now back again after all of the safety warning lights began flashing. Road Departure Mitigation System Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, Brake System...you get the idea. Now I'm wondering if the fact that the CarFax on a car with 660 miles starting in Florida, getting registered in Ohio, showing up in a dealership in Georgia, and then being sold (unfortunately) to us in North Texas might indication someone trying to keep us from recognizing a storm-damaged car. Also lots of other unexplained weirdness with the electrical system - phone intermittently disconnecting from Bluetooth, car locking when closing the back doors, etc. No hard evidence, just a lot of red flags...Buyer Beware!!! More

Bait and switch tactics at their worst ! I contacted Vandergriff about wanting to purchase a 2018 Accord Hybrid Touring model. I told them specifically in my emails and messages that I wanted I contacted Vandergriff about wanting to purchase a 2018 Accord Hybrid Touring model. I told them specifically in my emails and messages that I wanted a specific color (silver) and what I was willing to pay based on extensively researching what I could expect my best price to be. I also asked if I could take the car on an extended test drive (100 to 120 miles) just to be sure it was what I wanted since I had never owned a Honda before. The salesperson (Brenda) contacted me back via email stating that she had exactly what I was looking for, would meet my price and the extended test drive wasn't a problem. I made an appointment to come in the next day to purchase and pick the car up. Upon arrival Brenda kept asking me a bunch of irrelevant questions and then asked me to fill out a credit app. I told her I already have financing in place and that I just wanted to take the car on the extended test drive as we had agreed and finalize the paperwork. After 15 or 20 minutes she finally brought a car around...a horrible dark brown colored one. I told her that wasn't the color I agreed to purchase. She stated that they had sold the silver one the previous evening (turned out to be a bald faced lie). She stated that they had a silver one located and would bring it in for me. I was disappointed but agreed and wanted to go ahead and do the extended test drive before a deal was finalized. She said she just needed my SS# and driver's license and then I could take the car for the test drive. 30 minutes later her manager comes in and states he can't allow me to put 100 plus miles on a new car ??????????? I was livid to say the least. They wasted 1/2 day of my time. They lied about having the car I wanted. They lied about doing extended test drives and as it turns out they lied about the price of the car. I believe based on what happened that this is how they operate to get you into their dealership so they can sell you something else and jack the pricing up!!!! I contacted Honda...they haven't had a silver Accord Hybrid Touring in quite some time. The price they agreed to was BELOW invoice. Bottom line...these people are the very definition of what Deceptive Trade Practice is. I contacted Berkshire Hathaway who I understand owns the dealership. I got a return call from a guy named Yuni (not sure of the spelling) He claimed to be appalled by what I told him and assured me he would look into the situation and make it right. He stated he would call me the next day....NEVER HAPPENED. Looks like the dishonesty goes all the way to the top. I ended up making my purchase at Honda of McKinney. Excellent communications, honest salesman (MJ) great prices and had no bait and switch like these crooks. Do yourself a favor and take the drive up north !! More
