Vandergriff sold me a Honda Odyssey that had been in an accident that did not show up on CarFax. The damage was to the door panel on a sliding door and was not really noticeable, but I did not want a car accident that did not show up on CarFax. After expressing my dissatisfaction, Vandergriff immediately made the situation right. We rescinded the sale of the previous vehicle and they put me in another Odyssey that met with my approval. My new accord is great, even though I had in countered a minor error, Rene was there to intercept any potential problem and fixed it posthastley. I have just left Vandergriff Honda in a brand new CRV! I had no intention of purchasing a car today and AM NOT an impulse buyer! I am a single parent with a strict budget and consider myself an educated consumer. My experience began with an email response that was prompt and polite. Followed by a voice mail equally as pleasant.I did not call back as I was planning on purchasing this car in about 8 weeks. I received my next call one day later and explained what I felt to be a next to impossible situation(strict budget and $5000.00 negative equity) and Tony assured me he could help me and invited me to the dealership. I figured if we had time we would swing by. I arrived at the dealership with my teenage daughter (car is for her)and was greeted immediately and Tony came to the front. We went back to a cubicle and discussed my trade in....and my budget.Tony took a sincere interest in our personal situation without feeling "phony". We went and looked at the available inventory and chose a car... then went to crunch numbers. I braced myself for "the battle" but was surprised to find I was dealt with in the MOST respectful manner.After the third time of Tony going back to the finance office I knew my situation was next to impossible...He came back with Michael Ackels.I thought "here we go... good cop bad cop" WOW!!! Was I surprised!!!! He asked a few more questions about my needs and left to see what he could do. He showed the most sincere interest in my needs and my limitations and looked at my daughter as though it were his own....What a great feeling for a parent. He came back with a number that fit both my needs, my limits, AND included FIVE THOUSAND dollars of Negative equity!!!! I could not believe it! If you think your situation is impossible GIVE THEM A CHANCE!!!! I was not pressured,I was EDUCATED! How refreshing!!! My sweet daughter is now in a vehicle she can take off to college in with her mom(single parent) feeling PEACE that she is safe and I am not BROKE!!!! I could not have had a more POSITIVE experience!!I will recommend ANYONE regardless of your limitations to visit Vandergriff Honda in ARLINGTON! You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!! Need more women salespersons. Salespersons need to be more knowledgeable about vehicle accessories. Jake was great tho. Eased my worries and calmed my fears. Vandergriff Honda and it's SALES staff particularly Hung Nguyen went above and beyond what I ever expected to satisfy what I was needing and wanted. The finance department obviously don't have competent people. I bought my car on March 27 and as of April 15 they still HAVE NOT paid off the Honda I traded in which was in my contract. They called us out 4 days later to resign another contract, "they said it was a better deal". Once we got there nothing else was ever signed. It was a wasted trip (I live 40 miles away). I have since then talked to several people that have had similar experiences w/the finance department. So as of this date I'm not sure wether I really own the car or not! If not I want my old car back and the down payment I gave them! More

Being a person who doesn't trust many people, I found myself quite trusting of my salesman Josh Ladd. He even confronted me with the trust and allowed me to play run around. I used the next few days to check other dealerships and compare their prices and cars. What I found were higher prices and dirty cars. Vandergriff's detail persons deserve praise because they too help sell the cars. It was my memeory of how clean the Honda I looked at that made me compare others Hondas to the car at Vandergriff. With the cleaniness and price of the car, I knew I really wanted the car. On Saturday, during evening snow, I received a call from Josh asking if I was ready to buy the car. Having made up my mind to not be quick to buy, I said yes I was ready to buy from Vandergriff. Josh made my visit and purchase smooth. Everytime I yanked my hand back, he kept holding his out asking me to trust him. I am not sure if I trusted him because he was a military man or because he asked me to, but I do know if it wasn't for him, I would not be driving my Accord today.
