Awesome service from Chris Gonzalez! I had a rattle noise coming from the trunk of my van. I first took it to a dealer near me and they said they fixed it for good. But after a week or so of driving the noise was back. So then I came to this dealer knowing the great service I would get after reading the reviews. Chris took in my van. He took a look at it with the technicians and notified me that he would need to order a part that would take a couple days so he offered me a free rental car. He would call me everyday to give a status update on my van. When it was done I went to pick it up and he explained the problems very carefully for my knowledge. It's been almost two months and no noise yet. Also he had my van go through the wash which was great. I don't know what else you can ask for. Really recommend this dealer even if it's not that close. More

Nigel McPeake went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied and happy with the outcome of our deal. And Brian Cardwell, who I was dealing with for the first time was a pro all the way and even asked me to return to the dealership as he had been able to get my monthly payments even lower than orginally agreed upon! No one has ever done that for me. That is one of the reasons that this was the 3rd Honda that I have purchased from Vandergriff. I had previously dealt with Sol, and he was just as great. Nigel was kind enough to call me several times to ensure everything was fine with my car, I work with 122 other drivers at my job and I have told them how great Vandergriff is and that is where they should go when looking for a new car. One other employee that I work with has purchased at least 2 Hondas from Vandergriff and he tells me he is also just as thrilled with his car! Rock on Vandergriff! You are the Best! More

I received a warranty extension for my 2008 Honda Civic paint job, I bought it new and have paid it off so I now own the vehicle. I have received other recalls in the past which Vandergriff Honda Service D paint job, I bought it new and have paid it off so I now own the vehicle. I have received other recalls in the past which Vandergriff Honda Service Department corrected immediately (i.e. my engine block and driver side sun visor) and never had issues with the service department until now. When we (my husband and I) contacted Vandergriff Honda Service Department, my husband spoke with Juan Martinez who asked him to come in to have it looked at which he did. At that time Juan informed him that there would be a 3 week waiting period because they were "back up already with cars with the same issue" and 1 week to do the pain job it's self. Four weeks total to correct my paint job. He was told that they would need to keep my car for the entire 4 weeks which seemed unnecessary but when he asked about a free replacement vehicle for the time they would need have it, we were told that they would not be able to provide us with one because, and I quote "You are getting a free paint job." Obviously, it's not free as I would not be following up on the warranty extension sent to me by Honda about my paint job, botched at the factory due to the way in which it was originally painted. I was sold a brand new car with an already doomed paint job. I definitely already paid for the paint when I paid it off so no, it's not free because it's actually been paid for already. My car exhibits the chalky, cloudy appearance on the hood and leading edge of the front fenders as well as the roof and trunk. It looks terrible through no fault of my own, yet, I am apparently asking for a free paint job according to Juan Martinez at the Vandergriff Honda Service Department. A free replacement car while it get's painted is necessary because I have 2 kids and work a full time job, what does Vandergriff Honda expect me to do for 4 weeks? I would also like to note that I called Vandergriff Honda Service Department myself before I involved my husband and was told the same thing, that I would be getting a “free paint job” and that a free replacement or rental vehicle is not possible, essentially what I heard was “we don’t value you, you’re asking for too much.” I wonder why this warranty extension on the bad paint is considered free by Vandergriff Honda (that’s 2 different service dept. employees who said that to us), it is very insulting to say the least. This is the third factory defect/warranty extension/etc. that I have received for this car and I have not complained until now and rightfully so. This is extremely disappointing and unacceptable, I am 31 years old and have only owned Honda cars (that should say a lot by its self), two of which were purchased at Vandergriff and I am wondering if this is how all of their loyal customers get treated? What I need it the paint to be fixed (in less than 4 weeks if possible) and a free replacement vehicle for the entire time Vandergriff has my car to fix the paint. Update May 2014: I was contacted by Yuni Chon of Vandergriff Honda within a couple of week of this review being posted, Yuni completely rectified the situation immediately by getting me in contact with Veron Shorter in the service department. Veron took care of my paint job within a week and a half and also provided me with a rental vehicle for the entire time they had my car which is what really made the difference for us, don't know what I would have done without that - I guess not have my paint fixed. But that was not the case because Vandergriff Honda took wonderful care of me and my car and I would recommend them to everyone because of that! I had bad experience with them at first but they corrected it as soon as I made my concerns known, they did what was right and then some and that is why I will keep bringing them my business in the future. You should too! :-) More

Veron Shorter (Service Advisor) gave me FAITH in this Arlington Service Center again! Last two times I came for service, I felt a hard sell to get repairs that were not necessary. I felt like the person helping me was like a used car person pressuring me to get things done for their profit. Even investigated other places to go to get my car serviced even though I have been going to the service center since it was on division street (1992). Decided to try the service center again... thank goodness I got Vernon. He has a down to earth customer service nature where he really listens to you and has a great attention to details along with follow through. When I first got to the service center, made sure Veron knew I had a coupon, he instantly made me feel comfortable by saying a woman used the same coupon earlier and saved a lot of money. That made me smile because I knew he understood how I valued coupon savings! Then when the mechanic discovered a transmission leak he offered to show me it which I declined because I was in the middle of working while I was waiting.... without me even saying anything he offer to get me a rental car so that I could go back to work while my car was being fixed. He doesn't even know how much stress he took from me!!! Every single step that day I felt he was on top of it...... When I left that day he told me to not hesitate to call if I had a questions or concerns. Then he followed up three days later!!! Never once did I feel he was trying to upsell me or get me to fix things that were not necessary instead he concentrated on making me have a stress free car repair service experience. What I did leave with that day, was feeling that I just experienced excellent customer service which would inspire me to come back. Hope Veron's management recognizes his temperament and quality of customer service he provides. If you want repeat customers please model your advisors after him!!! Stop the hard sell approach and instead focus on stress free car repair experience!!! Please give Veron a raise so that I know he will be there when my next service appointment is due. Veron is greatly appreciated! Keep doing what you are doing!!! It is the right way!!! More
This was one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. My salesman Frank Cimrhanzel was really great and attentive to my needs and wants. I will and have recommended this dealership to friends and family. I love my new Civic Coupe! The ride is great and the gas mileage is wonderful! It was fun driving it to New Orleans on a road trip! I had talked to Jeff numerous times on a Friday and had lined up a 2013 Honda Pilot Touring that I was to pick up on Saturday morning. I got a call Saturday morning from a competitor and I told them I was lined up a 2013 Honda Pilot Touring that I was to pick up on Saturday morning. I got a call Saturday morning from a competitor and I told them I was heading to Vandergriff to get my car. He informed me that he could see where every Honda was in the state and that there was no 2013 Pilot at Vandergriff. I called Jeff and asked him and he started talking about how he could give me a great price on a 2014 but I just needed to "come in", "come on in", "we'll get you set up", "we'll get you a great price", etc. etc. etc. I was upset but he quoted me a price that was only 1500 more than the 2013 was going to be. I asked for it in writing because I was skeptical. He said he would e-mail it to me shortly. 30 minutes later, I called back. He said he would e-mail. 5 minutes later a manager called me and he confirmed the price that Jeff had told me. I said thanks, but I needed it in writing and he said he would have Jeff send it to me. 30 minutes later, I called Jeff again and he said that "the manager is worried that you just want the quote so you can go somewhere else". That was the end of Vanergriff for me. 10 minutes later however, the GSM called me and I told him what happened and I told him the price that they quoted me and he responded with "there is no way I can get you in a 2014 for that price". I informed him of what happened and he said he couldn't get me in for that price. Tired and upset, my wife and I got in the car and drove the Huggins Honda which was the nearest place, and we bought a 2014 Honda Pilot Touring from some lady that wasn't full of crap. While there, the salesperson said "oh Vandergrief" when I told her the story and I was informed by numerous people that they were known for this type of behavior. More
