I have had Suburbans for over 20 years and had been coming to this dealership since 2001. Mike Joyner is the best of the best service advisors. He never try to sell me things that I do not need. He is coming to this dealership since 2001. Mike Joyner is the best of the best service advisors. He never try to sell me things that I do not need. He is honest, personable, outgoing, and always care to have enough conversation to make me feel he cares, and it is not all about business. He is always punctual, and always greet me when I drive in. This is very important to me. My other car is a BMW and serviced through BMW of Arlington, and never once would a service advisor available when I get to their desk, bonus points if they are even there. I was in Austin for the weekend and I heard a lot of noise coming from the air vent. I was not able to leave Mike a voice mail but I emailed him and got a call from him 7:15 Monday morning. He is very responsive and really make you feel that he cares. He removed the air filter and vacuumed some leaves out of the vent and did not even charge me. How about that? I cannot say enough good things about Mike. Never would I ask a stupid question. This is also very important because I have had “young” service advisors who weren’t even born when I started driving a Suburban and talk to me like I am an idiot. If there is a customer nominated award for a service advisor, Mike certainly wins hand down. More
Jessica did an amazing job representing Vandergriff making it the smoothest experience I have ever had in purchasing a vehicle. I would definitely go back! making it the smoothest experience I have ever had in purchasing a vehicle. I would definitely go back! More
This is my 3rd new car purchase from Vandergriff: 2012 Cruise LT, 2020 Trax LT and 2022 Trax LT. I have always been well treated and taken care of. I originally worked with John Montgomery regarding the Cruise LT, 2020 Trax LT and 2022 Trax LT. I have always been well treated and taken care of. I originally worked with John Montgomery regarding the possible purchase of a Silverado 1500 but I was not willing to make the necessary payments. I told John to give me a call when they got in any new Traxes and I would speak with him about a possible trade. I did in fact trade my 2020 Trax LT for a 2022 Trax LT and I am happy with that trade. I absolutely love my 2022 Trax LT even more than I did the 2020 Trax I traded. This is the best little SUV on the market, in my never to be humble opinion. And I have now received an email alerting me to my first service at 5,000 miles to be in January! That is service!!! More
Drove 45 minutes from McKinney to buy a car only to find out the AC wasn't working. I did a cursory inspection of the vehicle and noted that the dash alerts showed low coolant. I kept info to myself that I out the AC wasn't working. I did a cursory inspection of the vehicle and noted that the dash alerts showed low coolant. I kept info to myself that I suspected the low coolant likely kept the AC from turning on. They said they topped off the coolant but the AC still wasn't working. "Oh, the guy who traded it in said the compressor might be going out." Uh huh.... I said I brought a sizeable down payment and was willing to finance if they would fix the AC. They said ok....and then.... They came back to me with a proposal quote with an added $2500 to fix the AC. I said that was unacceptable, but I would take it if they reduced the price by $2000. They said they couldn't do that and I walked. An hour later, they wanted to resume negotiations, finally offering to fix the car and charge me the original internet price. I agreed, being 95% sure that the real problem with the car was a simple coolant sensor failure that could be fixed for $25. They said it would take about a week to fix. Several days later, they said it would be ready the next day. I told them I would arrange to be there to buy the vehicle. An hour before we were to leave from McKinney, I texted to confirm the car was ready, only to be told it wasn't quite ready yet. I asked to be kept notified and when it was ready, I'll arrange to pick it up. Three days later (today), I texted the dealer and asked for an update. Three hours, no response. So I looked it up online to find out the car was sold. This dealership is beyond shady and I would suggest everyone stay away, they're 100% trying to screw you. More
