I purchase a used car from Vandergriff in November. 3 weeks later my low tire light comes on and I am noticing a noise coming from the passenger side wheel area. I take the vehicle to the dealership and weeks later my low tire light comes on and I am noticing a noise coming from the passenger side wheel area. I take the vehicle to the dealership and I am told the front two tires are bad and need to be replaced due to the alignment being out on the car. I was also told the noise was a damaged fender well and it needed to be replaced. At witch point I was told none of these repairs were covered under the extended warranty. I asked if the alignment is tested during there vaunted 77 point inspection and I can not get a straight answer. The alignment was obviously bad when I purchased the car in order for the tires to be completely bald on the inside of the tire, they would take no responsibility for it and had nothing further to say to me on the matter. So I have them put my car back the way it was, they charge me a $60 fee and I take it to an independent. The noise was not caused by a fender well, it was caused by something wrong in the suspension, that WAS covered under the extended warranty, and also could have been the reason for the alignment issues. I still had to buy 2 new tires but the independant fixed the issue and realigned the frontend (covered by the warranty). After reading several reviews, almost none of the reviews for used car sales or service are good ones. I would recommend never buying a used car from this dealership. More
Bought a used TL that still needs major mechanical repair. After the test drive and financing tried to take advantage (and they probably did in the end),warning lights lit up the panel. The salesman s repair. After the test drive and financing tried to take advantage (and they probably did in the end),warning lights lit up the panel. The salesman said drive the car home and with driving the warning lights would go out. I did and the next day they were still on . When I returned to the Dealership, I was told that the car was sold as is and there was nothing that they could do. After a lengthy discussion , ONE problem was repaired ,but numerous others have been my headache. More
I had a great experience at this dealership. I had already established a relationship with John Thompson via the internet, as that’s where I began my search for a pre-owned Acura. From the start, he w already established a relationship with John Thompson via the internet, as that’s where I began my search for a pre-owned Acura. From the start, he was very helpful, providing all of the information I needed in a friendly and timely matter, but never pressuring me. Once I found one I wanted to see, I went down to the lot and he showed me the car and allowed me time and space to explore the car without pressuring me. He was there to answer any questions, but he didn’t overwhelm me. I decided to purchase, and he was very efficient and knowledgeable during the appraisal and negotiating process. It didn’t take long at all, and I never felt belittled or disrespected for even a minute. The entire process did take a little bit of time, but that’s normal with all of the paperwork and official items that need to be completed. All in all, it was a very easy and pleasant experience. Everyone I dealt with at Vandergriff was friendly, professional and helpful. I would recommend this dealership to others who are looking for a new or pre-owned Acura. More

Would never recommend this dealer. Tommy the sales person did a good job. Quoted a price out the door of $22,400. We had to go back to Plano to pick up kids. Got a cashiers check for the full amoun person did a good job. Quoted a price out the door of $22,400. We had to go back to Plano to pick up kids. Got a cashiers check for the full amount and drove back to dealership to fill out paperwork and get car. My wife was filling out the paperwork when Tommy noticed the price was$24,600 Terry in finance said Tommy must have misunderstood and they could not honor the price quoted. We spent over 6 hours driving back and forth to the dealer and did not get a car. Terry is truly a poor finance person that would not honor his employees mistake. I've been in business for over 25 years and would always make it right for a customer, especially if the mistake is on me or my team. Wasted a tank of gas, time to deal with Terry who in my opinion is a worthless manager that I would not hire to take out the trash. Terry. Do the right thing and honor the deal you make. Not worth losing a customer over $1400. You are in management for gods sake! ACT LIKE it Do not waste your time dealing with Vandergrriff Acura in Arlington. They are a rip off! More

Quoted an internet price in writing. Then when I called to purchase the car, they had made an error and would not stand by the price they quoted! Offered $500 off "the real price" stating that to purchase the car, they had made an error and would not stand by the price they quoted! Offered $500 off "the real price" stating that was below invoice, but that still made them higher than other internet quotes. Understand mistakes can be made, but the lack of concern and integrity was not impressive. At first Salesperson James Bao seemed knowledgeable and showed good customer service but that soon changed once a deal was met (used car purchase). His inability to answer specific questions concerning the showed good customer service but that soon changed once a deal was met (used car purchase). His inability to answer specific questions concerning the delay in delivering my vehicle spiraled out of control. The finance paper work was completed on the 8/17/11 and come 8/29/11 my vehicle still had not been delivered to me. The vehicle was test driven on the 17th and I noticed it pulled to the left badly and that the (2) rear tires needed to be replaced. So the staff agreed to replace the tires and align the vehicle prior to delivery. For the next 13 days I was consistantly promised the vehicle was ready for pickup but that was nothing but lies and the famous TX 2 Step. I finally got tired of playing phone tag and not having my questions answered I decided to meet with the General Mgr Robert Knowles (on 8/30/11) thinking he would be able to correct the obvious wrongs of his sales staff. Wow was I ever wrong and here is why. The GM is an arrogant pompous idiot who thinks more of himself then he really is. I sat down and tried my best to explain what had taken place since the 17th of Aug, that I was into my financing approximately 14 days, had yet to drive my vehicle home (which was a good thing in the end), that his sales people failed to stay in contact with me concerning the delay in vehicle delivery and his initial reaction to me was that his staff had done nothing wrong (he defended them tooth and nail) and that he was not about to in his words" throw money at customers to buy a car". That if i did not want that car, he would buy it back and sell it and cars like it very easily. Since GM Knowles preferred to buy deals back vs. sell vehicles and complete deals that had been reached, thought nothing of putting the customer first, i decided to grant his wish and the deal was cancelled. The vehicle was originally purchased by me for $18,300 and is now back on his web site with a sales price of $20,000 (9) days later. More
