Deceitful and scammers. Caked me about a lease I had. They wanted to purchase my late model vehicle and said I had lots of positive equity. I had no intention of getting rid of the vehicle early but thought if there was positive equity might be worth it. Went in and they treated me terrible. First low balled me. Then started playing the haggle back and forth game. I said just give me my key s back so I can leave. This has been a waste of my time and they were like well we are just trying to help you get out of this vehicle. I said YOU CALLED ME AND I SAID I HAD POSITIVE EQUITY AND NOW YOU ATR OFFERING ME WELL UNDER WHAT I OWE. Do not believe a word these people say as they are deceitful and just trying to get rip off as many people as they can. More
Looking for a used car and found two on VanDevere Chevrolet's website that fit our needs. Called and spoke with a Brandon and verified the vehicles were still available. Arrived at the dealership and Chevrolet's website that fit our needs. Called and spoke with a Brandon and verified the vehicles were still available. Arrived at the dealership and Brandon was nowhere to be found and had to talk with Colten Emerick and was informed that neither vehicle was on the lot. He then tried to push a Ford Fiesta instead. Don't advise working with these people! David More
We purchased an expensive Chevy automobile from VanDevere this past year. Although the automobile itself is very good (thank you Chevy), the level of customer care, customer communication, and after-sale veh this past year. Although the automobile itself is very good (thank you Chevy), the level of customer care, customer communication, and after-sale vehicle service at VanDevere was deplorable, among the worst I have ever experienced (and this maybe the tenth Chevy I've purchased in my life). They did not do a good job of communicating throughout the sale process or when I had the vehicle in for after-sale service. They missed several obvious defects on the vehicle that they should have proactively caught and fixed. They missed several promise dates/deadlines, often without even telling us, which wasted a lot of our time. The financing process is creepy because they video record you while you sign the paperwork. They totally botched the license plate and registration process, and their excuse was that they didn't realize they were the ones who did the financing (duh). When I escalated these issues to their senior management, I got no response. Last month, I bought my next vehicle from a different dealer in the Akron area, and there was a WORLD of difference in the customer experience. The VanDevere "bunch" is off my list, permanently. They don't live up to their "bunch" of advertising at all. P.S. Their "free" car wash is a gimmick - hard to get in, when it's even open, and you're paying for it anyway in the cost of the vehicle. I got an account at the local carwash - easier, better, and cheaper in the long run. More

Snuck in a warranty to my loan and extended my term after I had signed for 66 months on the buyer's guide it magically changed to 72 months in the finance office. Nothing was explained. Service Rip Off Took my 2013 GMC ACADIA in due to both headlight low/high beam not working. Paid $110 for diagnostic test. Received a call stating that both headlamp Took my 2013 GMC ACADIA in due to both headlight low/high beam not working. Paid $110 for diagnostic test. Received a call stating that both headlamp assembly need replaced and the cost would be $2,400.00 to repair. Did not make sense to me. I took my car to another mechanic and he tested the bulbs. Bulbs were burned out. Replaced both bulbs at 29.99 each and 60.00 labor, little over $160.00 and both lights working again. We have bought two cars from this dealership and had our cars serviced there. Never again!!! I don’t know i if they thought me being a woman would know no better or what but it’s a disgrace. I have recommended this service department to others, no more. When I tell my story to people they are disgusted as well. More

It is a fully electric car, so I was really hesitant about buying one and wanted to be sure it was going to work for me. I previously had a bad experience at a Chevy dealer in Massillon, so I was really leery about taking another look. After meeting Jay, I realized how different the attitude is at VanDevere. First, he is super-chill and he knew I wanted to do my research on the car before agreeing to buy. We took the Bolt they had on the lot out for a test drive and he offered to let me take it home for the night. During the test-drive, he didn't tell me where to drive and I appreciated that. I really hate it when salespeople make you take a certain route like an über driver. I headed straight for the highway since that's where I do most of my driving. After taking it home, and really spending time with it, I knew it was going to be a good fit for me. We worked out the numbers, and Jay worked hard to find the exact car I wanted down to color and every option I wanted (I am picky). They even price-matched another dealer's offer and helped me lock in all of the rebates from GM which saved me $3,000! I had a small issue with the car the day after I bought it. John in service set me up with a loaner car, and had it fixed the same afternoon. Oh, and I freaking love my Bolt. It's a blast to drive! I have no clue what gas prices are, and hopefully won't ever care again. More
Overpriced and slow Horrible service, over an hr and a half for an oil change with an appointment. They overcharge on all services, almost $100 for air filters.
