All the experiences listed in the one star reviews here mirror my own. Found my vehicle on cars.com but it wasn't available in their inventory yet. They scrambled to find the car in their system, and once they did I liked it so I proceeded with the purchase. Waited three hours for service to be completed before I was told that it would still be a few more hours, I should just leave in my old car and come back later that day. When I called later, I was told it wouldn't be done until the next morning. Showed up the next morning, waited another two hours and the car still had small dent in the back that was supposed to be repaired. I was told the "dent guy" would be in the following week and that someone from the dealership would come pick my car up from my work, drive it to the dealership and have the dent repaired, then drop it back off. They never showed, and when I called to ask when they were coming they person I spoke with talked to me like I was crazy. "Why did you think that we were doing that? You need to schedule an appointment with the service department and bring your car in yourself." I have a busy schedule, so I waited until my first oil change- which I was told would be free- to minimize the amount of time I would miss from work. Drove my car to my scheduled appointment and was told the entire process should take about ninety minutes. Ninety minutes passed and they came out to tell me that the dent guy was on vacation so I would have to reschedule, and that I owed $85 for the oil change. Reading the other reviews here, it seems like these guys either provide customers with a great experience or a horrible one; my was the latter. I won't buy another car here, and I can't recommend that anyone else does either. The one star reviews are real and spot-on accurate. More

The managers don’t even call you back nor care about the evidence or call logs you Keep. Place is just ridiculous don’t even try and call because you will sit on hold or get hung up until you hit someone’s voicemail then you never get a call back. Never again. More
May 16th I brought my car, 2017 Volt, in for my appointment at Vandevere told the service adviser Anthony about my issue with a knocking noise coming from the passenger rear of my 18 Chevy Volt. I appointment at Vandevere told the service adviser Anthony about my issue with a knocking noise coming from the passenger rear of my 18 Chevy Volt. I specifically told him that when the car gets lift over a bump on the road that I can hear and feel a heavy metal clunk. noise. Possibly a shock or strut being broken or loose. At about 3 pm Anthony calls me and says the tech did hear the noise but thinks it's just my children's car seats in the rear. I tell him no it's not going to be that. It's not a light noise like plastic or thin metal. I tell him to take the seats out and check again. He calls back a few hours later to say that the tech took the carseats out and no longer can hear the noise. I pick up my car and drive home, but as soon as I get on the highway ramp, with a little bit of a bump going maybe 20 mpg, the rear end lifts and the rear passenger area clunks. It's 630, the service department is closed. I drive home highly unsatisfied. It's now the morning of May 18, after an extremely busy 17th with hospital work and 3 young children to take care of at home after, I look at the reciept I was given by Anthony. It states that the mileage in and mileage out are exactly the same, 61791. How can it be that the my vehicle, driven once with the car seats in it to find the noise complaint and driven a second time after I told them that was not going to be the source of the sound, has the same exact mileage coming into the dealership as leaving the dealership? It can't. I believe they never even took my vehicle out on the road. It was a busy day and I feel they scammed me and charged me a diagnostic fee of 135.04. Not only did I have to find a baby sitter for my 3 children, I had to find transportation from and then back to the dealership with gas being 4.45 a gallon because they do not have any loaner cars available. If you cannot tell I am extremely upset and disappointed in Vandevere Chevy, of whom I have been a loyal customer since I leased a 2017 Cruze. I drive a half hour to this dealership because I used to think that they were a stand up place to buy a car. I'm not sure if I'll ever purchase from them again, or even buy a GM product. I know at this time I would recommend Vandevere to anyone. Most of my friends and family are in disbelief that they didn't even put 1 mile on my vehicle in 2 test drives, especially when I made it clear how to have the knock noise manifest. I have discussed how unhappy I am with the service manager Greg, but he refuses to give me a refund. We argued that driving a car at normal speed, as I stated to the tech would manifest the knocking, is not the same as driving it in their parking lot. Normal speed to me is 35 mph to highway speed, not a 5 mph roll over some bumps. After going back and forth for a few days I spoke to service manager Greg's boss, Trevor. He says that he knows for sure the tech test drove my car on the road, but he couldnt seem to provide me any proof. He insists that they don't ever change the mileage out on the reciept. I told him that when a customer brings in their vehicle and expects to have that vehicle test driven to diagnose a problem, they might want to train the service techs to edit the correct mileage out. He did reluctantly say he would refund my diagnostic charge. I'm done with this dealership however and plan on selling my car since I have the Vandevere lifetime warranty on it and I do not want to have more headaches from their shady business practices in the future. Vehicle listed on website was not even available for purchase upon time of arrival into the dealership, after we called and spoke directly to the call center about that truck! We begged to be able to vi purchase upon time of arrival into the dealership, after we called and spoke directly to the call center about that truck! We begged to be able to view the vehicle, after all we drove there specifically for that truck, they brought it around and stated we could look but not drive and if we liked it we could put $100 down to get it it moved to the top of the recon list. It was then that a piece of paper was found stating SOLD...however after an hour of research we found out it was not and that we could buy it! Many hours later and a ton of horsing around about the payment, we were able to start financing. Only to be told to come back tomorrow as it was too late. We were told truck and paperwork would be ready after 2pm, however after many calls back and forth and taking off work early, we were told that it would have to wait till Saturday am. Many broken promises from all sales managers and financing managers. Saturday am, we arrive to find out the monthly payment was higher than agreed up. After an hour or so later and requesting our deposit back, the deal was able to be made??!! Two days later we get calls requesting our ins and plate info. The same information the dealership should have had. Didn't they transfer my plates from my trade in vehicle to my new purchase?! We then had to send pictures to our sales man who had to forward to their finance team. This dealership is unorganized! We would like to give a shout out to our sales man, Zach, who was polite, kind and really tried to accommodate our needs! More

Took Chevy Cobalt in for a scheduled oil change ($86) that took over 2 hours and came out with only 3 of the 4 hubcaps on the car. Called and they said the hubcap wouldn't go back on car after tire rota that took over 2 hours and came out with only 3 of the 4 hubcaps on the car. Called and they said the hubcap wouldn't go back on car after tire rotation. Seems to me like an easy excuse for damaging a part. I expected the car to look the same as it went in. Didn't get an adequate explanation or apology, just had to listen to a fast talker who asked me if I knew what plastic was, how disrespectful. Was written off as an unimportant customer because this is only our second time going there. Will not be going back for any further services. More
