I drove an hour to come up and look at a very used Jeep Liberty. Sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to come unlock the key box. The test drive was in a parking lot next door. And the would cut a deal on a Jeep with 261,000, had duct tape holding the front fender together, had at least 1 wheel bearing worn out.. $2600 is what they want. I Offered $2000 then came up to $2200 that was a fair price.. What a JOKE. More
Listen up everyone. I'm at Vandevere Chevrolet getting routine schedule maintenance per their lifetime power train warranty. The service provider just told me that I needed a new air filter no pro getting routine schedule maintenance per their lifetime power train warranty. The service provider just told me that I needed a new air filter no problem right? I told her I could change it myself and she says well that would void the power train warranty, I told her I could buy one and install it at a fraction of the price they are going to charge me which was $25. Are they crazy? This will be the last time I purchase a vehicle from them at any locations and I'm looking to buy a car soon like in the next month. Just read the warranty before you buy, I'm going to re-read the warranty I know there's away around buying their Donald Trump filter. More
MY wife and I only went to look/price a mid-size suv, it was very cold outside, so our plan was to shop around at various dealerships. VanDevere was highly recomended by a family friend who had purchased the type of vehicle we were interested in, so this was our first stop. After walking around looking for about 5 minutes and starting to get cold, we were greeted by Justin Harris. He was extremely polite and impressed me because inspite of the temperature (below 22 degrees and windy) he stayed outside, answered every question, and showed us several different types of vehicles we were interested in (as if it were summer time). He never once asked us if we wanted to come indoors to warm up. As long as we were gonna look he was willing to stay outside and assist us. My wife is the shopper and she was in her zone, I on the other hand, was freezing. After about 45 minutes I asked him if we could go inside (my mind was made up, we saw what we were looking for at a very good price and we were going to buy it, with my wife's approval of course. Happy wife means a happy life.) VanDevere worked with us and we purchased exactly what we wanted, it honestly was a very good experience and we have already started recommending this dealership to others. The only problem was that it took so long. We arrived there at about 10 a.m. and left around 3:30 p.m. However everyone we spoke to about this did appologize, and offered us something to eat, I don't know why it took so long. That was the only grueling part, we don't plan on experiencing that again. My wife and I jointly agreed if not for Justin Harris we would'nt have purchased a vehicle. More
A friend of mine recommended I check out Van DeVeere for my new car because he had such a wonderful experience there. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by very pleasant faces. As soon as I met Bryan Buchanan I knew my experience would be a nice one. He was extremely helpful and patient. He really made me feel like his best friend! I did not purchase a vehicle however, Bryan and Don Brady tried all they could to make it work for me. When it was time for me to leave, Bryan and I had such a great connection a hand shake wouldn't cut it, I had to give him a hug! I recommend this dealership, and Bryan Buchanan specifically to all! I live in Columbus and talked to Brandon Greene before I even made the trip up there. He was very helpful in describing the Avalanche to me and answering all my questions. Once I got there the truck was ready for me to go for a test drive. There was no hard sales or pressure at all. He stuck around for almost 2 hours past closing while the paperwork was being prepared for me. He was very friendly and open. We even kept him from his own dinner with his wife and kids. Sorry about that Brandon. I would gladly do business with him again. (And I love my 07 Avalanche). More

He made me feel so welcome from the first time I met him and told me I could call him anytime if I had any questions about my new car! If I have to purchase another car I would want to work with Brandon Greene because he made me feel so comfortable. It meant alot to our family that we were invited to the appreciation dinner and were given a wonderful dinner and could ask any questions we had about our new vehicle. This was my first car purchase and Michael made everything simple and easy to understand regarding not only the SUV, but the purchasing/leasing process! VanDevere Chevrolet are the best dealership by far in Ohio that I have had both a buying & service experience with. I love that I can come here & there is never any "salesman" pressure like you get at ot Ohio that I have had both a buying & service experience with. I love that I can come here & there is never any "salesman" pressure like you get at other local dealerships. They should take a leaf out of the VanDevere Book. And the VanDevere service team have always taken good care of my Chevy Sonic on each visit. I can totally trust their advice. I give the sales & service teams at VanDevere a BIG thumbs up! I live about a little over an hour away from the dealership and was scheduled a "VIP" appointment with one of the sales people to look at a specific car that was posted online. When I arrived he was dealership and was scheduled a "VIP" appointment with one of the sales people to look at a specific car that was posted online. When I arrived he was no where to be found. The car sales man I had was nice, however the car I went to look at had sold that day. Mind you I called an hour before arriving to check and make sure the appointment was still a go for the day. After being told it was sold I was a little irritated but I drove over an hour and decided to check out other options. I was showed another nice vehicle, a little out of my price range, however I decided talk to the bank before making any decisions. The sales man told me I could put down $100 "deposit" to take it off the lot. When I asked the sales man, I was told I would be sent a check in the mail if I was not able to purchase the vehicle. (otherwise I would not have paid the $100) When I contacted the sales man the next business day, I told him of my budget and we were not able to meet at a common ground. He put me on the phone with a pushy sales manager with VERY poor customer service. I told him I did not want to purchase the vehicle at that price, however he continued to push the sale, stating they do not negotiate their prices. He knew nothing about the situation either, stating I had the car in my possession, which I did not. THEN I was told that I would not get the $100 back. I was irate at this point for many reasons. The sales manager was condescending and rude to top it all off. I was willing to work with the original sales man and possibly find a better option for me, but after all of the hassle I would never go back nor would I recommend the dealer. More
