I recently had my car serviced at this dealership. It was a 10,000 mile service and they rotated my tires. I just recently discovered a huge scratch on my hubcap in an area that touches the tire. Basically it's an edge or area of the hubcap that is on the inside near the tire, so logically the only way to scratch it is if the hubcap was removed. I went to the dealership to discuss it and the service rep tried to tell me it was done by a curb and he basically ARGUED this point. Never once assuming that maybe it did happen when they removed my caps. Then the service manager Tom, came out and tried to convince me that it happened when I hit a pot hole...he agreed it couldn't happen via curb, but insisted it happened hitting a pot hole. According to this theory, my tire would've gone completely flat, in turn scratching the edge of the hubcap!! Doesn't seem to make any sense at all...especially since my tire is completely fine and in fact pretty new looking. Convenient for them that they try any possible way to make it seem like they didn't do it. They said there was absolutely no way they could've done it. REALLY!! They can be 100% certain I did it, without any proof or logic, but there's NO WAY that they did it. Worst service department I have ever encountered!! And if you have your car serviced here, I would definitely make sure you inspect it when you get it back. More

I had the worst experience ever with this dealership. The salesman and finance manager have a major miscommunication. I planned on leasing a new car and the salesman gave me the bottom line number after we a salesman and finance manager have a major miscommunication. I planned on leasing a new car and the salesman gave me the bottom line number after we agreed on the number we started the paperwork process. when we moved to the finance department, the guy completely changed all the numbers and had miscommunication with the salesman. they kept me there for almost 4 and a half hours and for nothing. The guy ran my credit and approved the deal to later inform me of a completely different deal that was NOT agreed upon. The numbers didn't change due to my credit. that was not the issue...I felt like the guy tried to scam me from the beginning just to get a deal. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER TO ANYONE AND IF YOU DECIDE, CHECK THE NUMBER 100 TIMES BEFORE SIGNING ANY PAPERWORK. More
So they want $120 bucks to just look at my car to tell me whats wrong with it, no other VW store ive been to around the country does that. I still am under warranty for a month so i wanna get the problem fixed before it ends. my car is burning a quart of oil every 1000 miles which is ridiculous. they "fix" the problem. month later car is still burning oil, so i take it back. oh sorry sir, ur warrantys up so u have to pay another 120 to look at it and out of pocket. maybe if they had fixed the problem the first time we wouldnt have this problem. what a scam, any place that charges u 120 dollars to look at ur car, drive away fast. NEVER DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE! More
DISHONEST xxxx-Bought a certified pre owned car here and found out afterwards the car had been in an accident. What an awesome experience it was working with the sales team and Mark White. I always had a bad feeling about car salesmen, however, VW of Van Nuys shed a new light on car sales. i called van nuys and scheduled sevice for my 03 gti which i keep having to jump start due to what i assume is a faulty battery or charging system. i am told it should take about 30 minutes so i decide which i keep having to jump start due to what i assume is a faulty battery or charging system. i am told it should take about 30 minutes so i decide i'll do it before work and i bring it in a 7am and tell my work ill be in by 9. right off the bat i'm feeling weird about the shop when they tell me there is a possible $60 diagnostic fee. i've got a 10/100k warranty and the battery is dying on an 11 month old car. $60 my xxx!!! "well we don't know what's causing the battery drain. you might have an aftermarket stereo or something that could void the warranty" i dont have an aftermarket ANYTHING on the car. "well, you might have had it serviced at a place other than a vw dealership". NO, only vw has service the car. it's like i was presumed guilty and having to argue my innocence! very off putting. they made up for it slightly by asking if i'd like a complimentary car wash with my sevice. yes, thank you that would be nice. FOUR HOURS later i'm stilll sitting in the waiting room. so i ask what the xxxx is going on. they can find nothing wrong with the car and they are doing a slow charge on the battery. how long will that take, i ask. probably another 6 hours, they respond! i'm sitting in the xxxxx waiting room waiting for the car and they don't tell me it's gone from 30 minute estimate to 10 hours!!?? furthermore, the mechanic tells me that the "whole front end" (whatever that means) and battery retention strap is loose. and more of the "you know if you brought this car to a non vw shop, you could be responsible for the payment and that it could void the warranty". ENOUGH!!! I HAVE NEVER BROUGHT THE CAR TO ANYBODY BUT VW!!! not that it's done me any good; they've not fixed the things i've asked them to, they've ripped the clutch out of the car, and not tightened up the battery/"whole front end". oh and by the way, van nuys can find nothing wrong with my passenger speaker which has "popped" since mile one (none of the three dealerships i've brought to seem to be able to find anything wrong with it). i take the shuttle home (1 1/2 hour wait for the shuttle) and ride my motorcycle to work. end of the day. it has been on a trickle charge and is holding charge just fine. other than the fact that it had very low voltage (9v) when i brought it in, they determine nothing is wrong with it. i go pick up the car. and not only have they done practically nothing to the car, and dismissed my complaint about the speaker by claiming it was "probably static", and accused me all day of doing things to void the warranty, but THEY NEVER WASHED THE CAR!!<br><br>here's the ringer: 2 days later i find myself once again stuck in a parking lot with a dead batttery!! thanks for NOTHING van nuys More
