I have gone to different dealerships and my APR was always between 4.5-5%. The price and APR were always the first 2 things that came up in conversations when discussing a car and since I had already b always between 4.5-5%. The price and APR were always the first 2 things that came up in conversations when discussing a car and since I had already been to many and got about the same APR, I figured this place would be the same. I was never told the APR and there is so much writing on the paperwork I didn’t see it but I just got a letter in the mail saying my APR is over 12% I had no idea since it was never mentioned by anyone. I figured it would be the same as the other places I had applied to. I guess since I’m a young woman they saw that as an opportunity to take advantage of my lack of knowledge in car sales. There’s nothing I can do about it now but I can believe my APR is over 12% and a $21k car will end up costing me $37k because of it. I am super disappointed and saddened that this happened to me. I should have stuck with the other dealerships or even a bank loan since my APT would have been 4.5% but I’ll take this as learning lesson. More
