I’ve just had a very poor experience with Alfa Romeo Maserati of Van Nuys, formerly Russell Westbrook Alfa Romeo. I put a lot of time and effort into the purchase of a 2019 Giulia Quadrifoglio Nring, nu Maserati of Van Nuys, formerly Russell Westbrook Alfa Romeo. I put a lot of time and effort into the purchase of a 2019 Giulia Quadrifoglio Nring, number 01 of 55. I put a deposit down, they desked the deal with my Ti Lusso in trade, was told it was in the service dept for a new windshield. Then yesterday the salesman didn’t get back to me all day about when the car would be ready to be picked up as he promised and was unreachable. I live 400 miles away. This morning he called to say the car was in need of $30,000 USD in repairs, including suspension damage, so they were going to wholesale it. This car had been serviced at this dealership regularly. Strange thing is subsequently the service dept told me it passed inspection, only needing a new PCV valve. Seems suspicious. More
I’m extremely flabbergasted and frustrated with Maserati of Van Nuys. I called Tuesday the 21st to get a quote for a transmission service. I was told someone would call me back with that information. I rece of Van Nuys. I called Tuesday the 21st to get a quote for a transmission service. I was told someone would call me back with that information. I received a text message later in the day asking for my VIN to receive that quote. After hearing nothing since then, I called this morning, the 23rd to follow up on that quote. I was told Maserati wouldn’t service the transmission because it has “Lifetime Fluid”. Anyone who’s a car person know, Lifetime fluid is a “bait and switch term.” For those who don’t know, it’s essentially the lifetime of the vehicle (which could be 4 or 5 years by certain manufacturers. ZF, the maker of the transmission recommends they be service every 50,000 miles. ZF supplies Maserati with the transmissions. So, it’s clear, Maserati and this dealer would rather something catastrophic happen where they can quote you for a brand new transmission instead of simply changing the fluid and filter. Considering they have 2022 Maserati’s still on the lot, I can see how they are money hungry. However, now I don’t trust any Maserati dealer touching my car. If you won’t change the fluid and you are denying business until a new transmission is needed, Imagine what else they might be doing to charge up your bill. I’m also reaching out to the BBB, FTC, and other sources because there are shady tactics. People, do your research. NO FLUID IS LIFETIME. More

Most importantly, they NEVER provided activation code for location device (one of the "options") which now almost a year later I am still trying to get. While the car is great, I see no reason for anybody not to go to the Glendale or Santa Monica locations where they care about their customers. 04/17/2024 - MAJOR UPDATE. What a difference a new management makes! In my original review I rated them with 1 star, as the previous management and sales staff were not good. That said, with Mark Thomas, as a new GM, everything turned completely around: I got the best complimentary first year service along with the royal treatment. Today I also got my long-fought for refund for the tracking device which was shoved down my throat by previous management. Mark being extremely busy was very responsive and understanding. Also I would like to acknowledge Nevaline from Finance who cut me a refund check and also offered help if I needed anything. Now I can only hope that the new car will turn out to be as good as their new management! More
I recently had a great experience purchasing my new Alpha Romeo Stelvio. Richard Samanco, my sales rep, was helpful, informative and never pressured me. Paul Michael, the sales manager, made sure my deal was Romeo Stelvio. Richard Samanco, my sales rep, was helpful, informative and never pressured me. Paul Michael, the sales manager, made sure my deal was fair, and Ati Kamala in the finance department was a joy to work with. The entire team made this a positive experience, and I highly recommend Van Nuys Alpha Romeo. More

I bought my Giulia out of the lease and the finance people really dropped the ball. They didn't remind me to turn off my auto-pay on the lease so I was charged an extra payment and have to call the bank and work to get it back. They also must not have turned in the paperwork in a timely manner because the bank holding the lease didn't receive the buyout for over a month. When I called the dealership for help on a Friday, Ati, the finance person, said she would call me on Monday and help me with getting the payment back from the bank. She didn't call. When I called on Monday to follow up, I was told she didn't work that day. I called two different finance people, Ati and Steve, every day that week and was sent to voicemail every time. I then called and asked for the manager, Dan Orell. I was sent to his voicemail. I left a detailed message asking for help to get the buyout on my lease completed. I never received a single call back from anyone at the dealership. I had to contact both banks to get this done. Today, I received new plates for my car. I had custom plates. No one asked me about that when I was buying the car--or noticed when they got the VIN and mileage from my car. Now I have to request custom plates all over again. I've sent multiple friends to this dealership over the last 5 years. I won't do that again and I don't plan to buy from them again. It's disappointing to be treated with so little regard, especially when I've been a loyal customer over the years. More
