Flew in from out of state and was on the road within hours. All the folks I worked with were professional and made what could of been a painful process a very good experience. New philosophy of "no price haggling" was different, however with over 6 months of research and tracking vehicles nationwide this was the best deal by far. Additionally, the extended warranty options offered were great and gave me peace of mind. Only one thing they could of done that would of made it better, wish the engine was detailed, did a bit of that when I got home. More

We were very happy with the buying process. Never made to feel pressured but felt like we worked together to get to yes. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall satisfied Bought a used Explorer, and my 3rd purchase from Van Horn over the last 8 years. What you have to be aware of with this dealership is their purchasing Bought a used Explorer, and my 3rd purchase from Van Horn over the last 8 years. What you have to be aware of with this dealership is their purchasing of buybacks. Knowing that going in (if you're lucky enough), the sales rep was very open about this particular vehicle, showed me the history, which to me was extremely minor (mostly trim clip issues). Either way, they'll stand behind what you purchase. The only thing I can say that was an overall unpleasant experience was the 4 hours from start to finish, which is over 2X's the excruciating time and pain of listening to a 90 minute time share presentation. I wish the industry would do something about that & am certain its not just exclusive to Van Horn dealerships. More
Good people make a good experience I began my vehicle search long before ending up at Van Horn. Other dealerships got me in the door with advertised prices that I liked, but sent me out I began my vehicle search long before ending up at Van Horn. Other dealerships got me in the door with advertised prices that I liked, but sent me out the door with excuses of why they couldn't provide the vehicle at the price I came in looking for. I found vehicle at Van Horn that I liked, and when I called about it my experience was very positive. Knowing I had over an hour drive to get up there, I didn't want a bait and switch on the truck I wanted, so before leaving town, I called again and they even text me a picture of the vehicle and said they would have it out ready for me when I arrived. These guys gave me what I was looking for with no hassle, no pressure, and provided a genuinely great experience. In response to other reviews left: my vehicle was also part of Ford's buyback program. This enabled the dealership to sell the vehicle at a significantly discounted rate. The sales team explained the entire process to me and indicated all repairs made to fix the original issues. Both Ford and the dealership stood behind their work with the original factory warranty as well as providing an additional warranty (yes at an addition price, but that is the same for any extended warranty from anywhere). I was very satisfied with the entire experience. More
Shady Experience We found an Explorer on the internet at what we thought was a good price at Van Horn Ford. Turns out it was too good. The salesman informed me after we test drove it that the vehicle was part of a "manufacturer's buy back program". We feel this was something that should have been part of the description on the website as it was not. It was our opinion that this was done to draw in potential clients. Thankfully for whatever reason they did disclose this information... along with handing us SIX pages of known issues from the previous owner that were supposed to be fixed. Very sketchy to say the least. During the test drive I noticed that the drivers seat would not fully go up and down along with the steering wheel not telescoping in and out. I informed the salesman of this. Here's the strange part. The dealership was in the process of selling this vehicle even before we arrived. We only hope that they pointed out the issues to those folks..... I doubt it. Oh yeah... one more thing.... they did offer to sell us an extended warranty... for $3000!!! Very disappointing experience and a waste of three hours (including drive time to and from dealership). The whole goal of these places is to draw you out to the dealership. After we said no thanks to this vehicle they of course have a couple others they'd love to sell you on.... for $4000 more. More
