I found a jeep I was interested in but it had running boards on it...The dealership "put it out there" that if I was serious about the Jeep they would take the boards off for me and they did. Mark answered all of my questions and concerns. The night I brought my new jeep home I noticed one of the key faabs didn't work...I called and spoke to two people who helped me get a new battery for it. Only negative would be the "cleaning detail"... the inside and out looked like it was cleaned in a hurry and spots were missed.Overall experience was good More

While we are happy with the vehicle, we had to do quite a bit of cleaning when we got it home. The floors were clean, but we had to do a lot of wiping down on the entire interior of the vehicle, so the detailing process must have been very rushed. Also, I didn't even have enough gas to get home. In my opinion, when you spend thousands of dollars at a dealership, the least they can do is fill up your gas tank (or at least provide you with enough to get you home). The vehicle I wanted to look at was ready and waiting for me to test drive. Rob took the time to go over all the features before I drove it. Gave me a better offer on my trade in than I expected. Financing took a little longer as it was Monday night, their busiest, but everyone involved apologized and made sure I was comfortable. Rob thought of all the little things, when transferring my belongings from my car to my Dodge Journey. I drove home in style and very happy. I will definitely be back when I need my next vehicle. Wasted 9hrs of driving First of all, most of the sales staff were friendly, I'll give them that. But, we had made a tentative deal on my trade-in through emails. When I got to the dealership (4.5 hrs from my house) they told me my trade was worth 3500 dollars less than we talked about. When I disputed their numbers, they told me that there was no way they could have given me that much regardless of condition. Then why tell me that? The trade value was the whole reason I drove all that way. After weighing my options of coming home empty handed or paying more, I did accept a deal. I felt like I was duped into driving up there and then somewhat railroaded into making a deal. I ended up with the new Jeep, which was priced competitively and in great shape, but it took 3.5 hrs of sitting there getting more and more upset before finally settling. Overall, not recommended and not going back. I saved the emails if anyone would like to read them. More
Happy Former Toyota Owner I have owned a Toyota for the past decade and knew I wanted to purchase a Jeep Laredo. Moreover, I had visited two very large Jeep dealerships here I have owned a Toyota for the past decade and knew I wanted to purchase a Jeep Laredo. Moreover, I had visited two very large Jeep dealerships here in the Fox Valley and was very disappointed by their lack of customer service and decided I needed to look outside the valley for the purchase of the Jeep.. I the pleasure of chatting with Julia Sommerfeldt on-line on a Friday evening and asked about 2 vehicles I was interested in and I made an appointment for the next morning. When I arrived at Van Horn, 1 of the 2 vehicles was parked in front of the dealership for my appointment. I was introduced to Rob Graham who I worked with during my visit. I found Rob to be a no nonsense salesman that focused me on the features and benefits of both vehicles. However, what really sold me on Rob as person I felt comfortable doing business with was the fact that he wasn't hard selling me on either vehicle and was sincerely interested in meeting my requirements as a potential customer of Van Horn. I became a customer of Van Horn that day and I haven't second guessed my decision to do business with them because it was a pleasant experience and the vehicle has exceeded my expectations. However, with any sales process, there is always room for improvement and the areas I believe Van Horn needs to work on are: ** Automatically building an $800.00 upholstery treatment into the cost of the car without consulting the customer is a very shady business practice. Moreover, having one of the financing associates continue to try and up sell me on the treatment after Rob and I agreed to take it out of the price of the vehicle is a very annoying business practice not to mention a total dissatisfier from the customer perspective. **Sales Support Backup - I had a question regarding the delivery of a vehicle, however, Rob was out of the office on vacation, so when I called Van Horn the person on the phone said she needed to consult with the Sales Manager and indicated she would phone me back with the delivery date/time. Well 2.5 hours later, nothing so I called back and was told that the person I was working with had gone home for the evening and was then forwarded to the sales manager, who in turn passed the buck and handed me back to Rob, who was on vacation! I'm just thankful that Rob hadn't taken a week of vacation or I'd still be waiting to find out when the vehicle would deliver. Overall a pleasant experience and time will tell if Van Horn can secure me as a customer for life! More
Out Of State Buyers Deal With Mark Sloan! I had been searching for a car within 300 miles of Cincinnati, OH and came across a great deal at Van Horn Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. I called and spoke I had been searching for a car within 300 miles of Cincinnati, OH and came across a great deal at Van Horn Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. I called and spoke with a very nice, helpful female who quickly turned me over to the great Mark Sloan. After briefly speaking with Mark he located the car on the lot, explained all the details of the car, started it, and looked it over while I was on the phone. He told me any and all flaws about the Chrysler 300s and what I would expect if I came to purchase the car. We worked out an amicable price and trade in value over phone before I made the long 7 hour trip to Wisconsin. I was skeptical that they would try and renegotiate the trade in value or something wouldn't go as Mark agreed to but I had faith in Mark and decided to pursue the purchase. My wife and I made the long 7 hour trip the night before and arrived at the dealership early in the morning. Mark had the car cleaned up and ready to show me, everything he had said over the phone about the car was 100% accurate! Mark came thru with everything he promised over the phone, price of the car and trade in went exactly as agreed. If you are an out of state car buyer don’t hesitate calling Mark Sloan directly. I can assure any suspicious car buyer, if you deal with Mark, he will follow thru with his promises and is a man of his word. I had an overall great experience, my 14 hour round trip car purchase was well worth it thanks to Mark. More

We were honest why couldn't they I don't put all of this on Rob, he was very nice and informative, but the gentleman (I believe it was Roy) that we talked to about price, didn't liste I don't put all of this on Rob, he was very nice and informative, but the gentleman (I believe it was Roy) that we talked to about price, didn't listen at all. When I talked to Rob on the phone, I knew what vehicle I wanted and I told him the price I was willing to pay and all I got (because that is all he got?) was "we will work with you." I said something multiple times on the phone, we had to drive over 3 hours (there and back), that I wasn't going to go over a certain price and I got "we will work with you". I said it again in an email and again I got "we will work with you." My wife and I (after both taking a day of vacation) arrived at the dealership, the car was out and looked great, test drive, went great. Rob was very nice and explained a lot.... Now time to talk money. The guy sits down and the final price, more than the price I said I was willing to pay. He goes and talks to whomever, comes back still more than the number I said I was willing to pay. He says there is no way they can go down to that number. OK, we could have gotten to this point over the phone and I have wasted a bunch of time. He says, we have another vehicle pretty much the same that we could get to that price, I said let me take a look. It was the same car, just a different color (color in fact my wife and I like very much). Now time to talk money. THE GUY SITS DOWN AND THE FINAL PRICE IS MORE THAN WE ARE WILLING TO PAY!!!!!!!!! Now my wife and I are getting pretty pissed off, he knows the number, why in the heck would he come back with anything more than that?!?!?!?! He comes back again, after I said I didn't want some $800 worth of protectant put on the car and guess what.... STILL MORE THAN THE NUMBER!!!! Then he said, we could do that number IF we did financing through them, we had already said we had financing. We said no and started to walk, and then he said fine and said the price was what we wanted. Bottom line, I am happy with the car, but I will NEVER go back there and I will warn EVERYONE I can not to go back there. We were up front, honest and straight forward. Not once did we change what we were saying. All I ask is they do the same. If they didn't want to sell the car for the price I wanted, say so I don't waste my time, they don't waste their time. If they wanted to sell, then they should have just done the price I said, and it would have been really quick and easy.... More

I wasn't even considering a Jeep Cherokee in my new car search, but after driving more than six different manufacturers' models and finding something just not quite right about any of them, I was ecstatic to find that the Jeep had every best feature available from all the other models I had test driven all rolled into the one that suited me to a "T". This vehicle does everything but drive itself!!! It's comfortable, handles beautifully, stylish, etc., etc., and I'm still learning all the features it holds.
