Very comfortable When I walked into Van Bortel Subaru, I was only interested in pricing the model I wanted. Sue sat down w me and we talked about the car I wanted and When I walked into Van Bortel Subaru, I was only interested in pricing the model I wanted. Sue sat down w me and we talked about the car I wanted and the price range with the different options. Great Service Department - Great Sales Help I bought my first Subaru at Van Bortel in 1998 and had it serviced there regularly. Except for some growing pains early on (minor issues such as long I bought my first Subaru at Van Bortel in 1998 and had it serviced there regularly. Except for some growing pains early on (minor issues such as long waits for appointments and for paperwork after repairs were completed) when it because the largest Subaru dealer in the U.S., service has always been both competent and efficient . I have never had to take anything back. The buying experience in 1998 was excellent as well. When I bought my second Subaru, VanBortel did not have the car I wanted in stock and it would have taken too long to order one, so I bought from another dealer who had the exact model I wanted just come off the truck. I felt guilty about this, but I still brought the car to Van Bortel for nearly all of its service. (Service at the other dealer under warranty had proven to be disappointing.) More recently, I began a long process of looking for a new car. I typically keep a car for 9 - 10 years and so I spend a great deal of time on research before buying. I worked with Vince Bovenzi who spent all of the time I needed helping me to evaluate the choices and allowing me unlimited time to drive the cars. I have not bought yet, but I plan to do so soon. More

When my turn signal bulb went out mid road trip, I stopped by here and even on a Ford, the Van Bortel Subaru team was able to fix it in minutes with a smile. Truly awesome walk in "can you help me and fix it?" visit, solved and back on the road in no time. Nothing they won't do for you...is so true. Thank you! More

I com Being new to NY state, I first learned of VanBortel Subaru when I heard Kitty Van Bortel speak at the Susan B Anthony Birthday Luncheon in 2/17. I completely resonated with what she said, and that moved me forward to seek a car purchase at the Subaru dealership in Victor. I had hands-down, going-the-extra-mile treatment with the sales department, and specifically with Jeremy Vitale. Shortly after purchasing my car, I had a problem that was my fault. I went to Van Bortel and Jeremy reached out at his cost and no cost to me. I have to travel 25 miles to get to Van Bortel but it is worth every single mile for this exceptional service. More

This is Kitty Van Bortel and the whole Van Bortel team have gone above and beyond. I just brought home yesterday my new Impreza 2017 and I love it. This is my second car from Van Bortel and I am very happy with the overall experience. When in for a service with my older Subaru Marnie and Gary have always been available and explained everything clearly. That was easy I was pretty sure a Subaru would be my next car, and I took the time to drive a Forester, Outback, and the new Impreza hatch. Driving all 3 was no is I was pretty sure a Subaru would be my next car, and I took the time to drive a Forester, Outback, and the new Impreza hatch. Driving all 3 was no issue, Vince had them lined up so I could drive one right after the other. Of those 3 I really liked the Outback and Vince was super easy to deal with. No pressure, just let me ask questions and come to my own conclusions. No "what monthly payment are you looking for" or "will you buy today" schtick. I don't buy new cars very often, so I did take the time to drive a Honda and a Toyota but given the price, feature set, and drivetrain -- Subaru can't be beat. So back I went for one final set of test drives and I made up my mind. I had done my research and we had settled on a deal in just a couple of minutes. Trade-in allowance was very fair. The best part was that the car I speced out was already on a truck on its way to the dealership. One thing I really liked about Van Bortel Subaru was that it felt less like a high-pressure stealership and more like a casual, laid-back place to spend an afternoon looking at cars. It's definitely busy, but you're looked after and everyone is super nice and personable. Not one smarmy, stereotypical car salesperson to be found. A genuinely fun experience all around and everyone is super responsive, via phone or email. More
