My experiences with other dealerships have not always been great - lots of pressure from the sales person and then walking away feeling like maybe I could have gotten a better deal. That was thankfully not the case at Valley Imports or with Erik Swenson. My experience from start to finish was incredible!! While researching cars online, I came across the website for Valley Imports and sent an IM inquiry about one of their cars. Erik sent a message back within a few seconds and spent the next few minutes 'chatting' with me via IM. We set up a time for me to come in for a test driver later in the week. Upon arrival for the test drive, I was impressed with how friendly and non-sales oriented everyone was. Erik took his time to ask what I was looking for and what I didn't want in a car and then went with us on a test drive. It sounds odd to say, but I really appreciated that he came with on the test drive, as I've had several other dealers just hand us the keys and then go off to do something else - Erik coming with made me feel like he valued my time (and money); it was also nice as he could point out features of the car during the drive and he answered my questions. When we returned to the dealership, I let Erik know we were checking out other cars, so he politely asked if he could give us some pricing information. This took about 5 minutes, with us leaving already knowing what we could expect to pay if we went with this vehicle. After test driving other vehicles, I emailed Erik (we live out of town) and let him know I liked the Jetta and would like to purchase one, but in a different color than what they had on the lot. Erik emailed me back after hours and told me he'd call me Monday. Without fail, he called me Monday, I let him know what color I was looking for and provided the information to start the financing process - all over the phone without having to make the 1+ hour drive in to town. This was especially beneficial since our movers were at the house and there was no way for me to make it to the dealership that day. By the end of the week, Erik had the color car I wanted at the dealership, and all we had to do was come in and sign paperwork. I figured that would be the end of it, since that is where most dealers stop, but Erik took a good 30 minutes to orientate me to the car and even called a few days later to see how things were going. I truly would recommend this dealership, and especially Erik, to anyone in the market for an import car! The service and genuine integrity of everyone at Valley Imports is second to none - other dealers could learn something from them!!! More
