They will not honor the VW warranty! I purchased a CPO vehicle from Valenti Motors Watertown, CT 2 months ago. When I picked up the vehicle JEFF WARD my salesman said that there was a sm I purchased a CPO vehicle from Valenti Motors Watertown, CT 2 months ago. When I picked up the vehicle JEFF WARD my salesman said that there was a small problem the night before and that the sunroof had leaked or something but, there was no problem, it had been fixed. I started my journey back to California, but just past Ohio I went thru a rain storm and started taking on water. Once back home in California I took my new car in for repair but was quickly told that an aftermarket windshield wouldn't be covered. I unknowingly purchased a car with an aftermarket windshield that is not covered under warranty. I am currently communicating with the BBB, an attourney, VW Customer Care, and mine and your local "2 on your side" news stations. I now have electrical and safety issues with the vehicle. Feel free to contact me as I have not had 1 call from your dealership, even to ask how the sale went. Why not? Mike More
20k s ed rvice I took my 2015 Passat diesel in for 20k check up. They told me what was involved and said it would take about 1.5 hours. I get my car back and go home, I check my front wheels to see if they were rotated, they were not. The reason I know this is I scraped my rim against the curb. No tire rotation. Now I have to question did they do an oil/filter change, did they change the other filters involved or do akythi g for that fact. If been dealing with them for for about 15 years, begging to wonder. I purchased a 2015 Golf from Valenti in October of 2017 and after owning the car for 66 days the car would not start. I took the car to the dealer and they claim that I put bad fuel in the car. After my insurance company contacted every station I used during the 66 days i owned the car and there were no reports of bad fuel. Despite this, the Valenti service department still claimed there was bad gas. It is now 77 days since the car went into the dealer and I still don't have a car. I would expect better service from an oil change. More
Awful service by George Armstrong III I went to this dealership to look at a 2013 Jetta SE. At first I loved it. But I went home to sleep on it and make sure before making such a serious f I went to this dealership to look at a 2013 Jetta SE. At first I loved it. But I went home to sleep on it and make sure before making such a serious first time purchase for me. I ended up finding a 2014 SEL fully loaded at another dealership for cheaper than what they were asking for the 2013 SE at Valenti. So when I went back to Valentie I spoke with the sales man who showed me the SE and told him what I found and asked if he could find me one. He SIGHED and I swear his eyes rolled into the back of his head. There was one in their sister store in Waterbury. He tells me what a pain it is to have to get from them. Are you kidding me? You clearly don't want this sale at this point. So I said "fine I'll drive there myself" and he tells me "No. Cause then I won't get the sale" Well that's the point now!! You should be showing me you want to make me happy and get me in the car I want not settle for conscience for YOU. He tells me he will call me back when he hears back about the one at the sister store after I complained. He never called back. I already had almost no respect left but that really did it for me. The least you can do is show some respect and call and tell me either way. But no problem. I went to another VW dealership all the way in MA that week and bought a 2014 SEL fully loaded with all the things I wanted. And sold by a sales man who would jump through hoops to keep his clients happy. This Salesman went above and beyond for me at Colonial VW and I am a forever client there now. Beyond happy with my new car and the service provided. Thanks to the rude person at Valenti I'll never shop at any of their stores again. I can't believe he's been doing this as long as he says he has because he has zero customer service skills. Take my advice and shop else where. You'll be blown away at the difference in quality of service!! More
From Sales to Finance to Service!!!! I am new to Volkswagen, And I have to say that I am hooked for life!!! I love my 2012 Eos and my experience with Valenti has been amazing! Geoff Gilli I am new to Volkswagen, And I have to say that I am hooked for life!!! I love my 2012 Eos and my experience with Valenti has been amazing! Geoff Gillies my sales guy was amazing. He put up with me and my attitude with a smile. I am not a fan of sales people and was not very nice to him at the beginning. He was more than professional and very friendly. I told him what I was looking for and he found the car in just a day. John Devine walked me threw the fiance process and was very helpful. He made sure I was happy with my trade. He went beyond what was needed to ensure I felt comfortable with my deal. Jon Swift who I met in my shop was the person that referred me to Valenti. He has been amazing to work with. I have had 5 star service from him and his team. I went in to the service department to have a light put into my car and he gave me a dealership car so I could get on with my day. Then he brought me my car when his shop was done. he is always quick to return my calls when I have questions and always happy to deal with me and my LED obsession. I will be a Valenti customer from now on. I will also be sending my friends and clients to them as well... Thank you guys!!!! More

And I was impressed with the one hour delivery policy in affect at dealership...I will recommended anthony string and john devine to all my friends and family........and not mention the fabulous deal I got on my Passat........thanks john devine!!!!!!!!! My rating reflects their service department....Specifically the VW dept. Negative - 5 if I could make it so. I cannot stand dishonesty. Know this, if you are a NEW VW owner and A department....Specifically the VW dept. Negative - 5 if I could make it so. I cannot stand dishonesty. Know this, if you are a NEW VW owner and ARE UNDER warranty...then no problem, for they have nothing to gain from you. So repairs are done normally. But should you DARE desire to keep your car for longer periods of time, you will most certainly get Pinched on the service until they eventually wear you down. That's how it is for this industry, they hate people who want to keep their vehicles for many years. I am the type of person who does all my own maintenance. I baby my vehicle. I know every sound, motion, Nook and Cranny of it. Most times if you check my oil, it will look so clean that you could swear "You could cook with it". I own a 2000 VW TDI and have clear evidence of how they (Service Dept) lied directly to my face. I have my own ERROR code reader for my VW. I know exactly what is wrong with my vehicle before I even bring it in. On top of that a member of my family is a PROFESSIONAL Mechanic with over 30yrs experience and is still up to date and working. Believe me when I say I we are very in tune with our vehicle. I only bring it in when it's a job I can't or don't feel like doing myself. I had never suspected foul play from them until after our service warranty ran out. Then all of the sudden things started going wrong for no reason. Then I became weary over that last few years...bigger and bigger requests and price tags for very SPECIALITY items that are Hard for the HOME mechanic to do himself. So I got a hold of my own engine error diagnostic/code reader and when the next Yellow Check Engine Light showed up. I Diagnosed it myself.... and as a test, I brought my car in and had it inspected. They said it would cost almost $2000 dollars for a problem that was not even evident with my vehicle. (remember only the light came on) but the car ran perfectly. But they claimed if this major problem was not fixed soon, then my car would definately be in a bad way. I left the car there for a couple of days and said, I'll be there to "sign off on the work, please wait" When I came in a few days later...They (ie the service guys) said: " so are you ready to sign off on the work so we can get started" I said, NO I need my vehicle back. The guys behind the desk smiled at eachother slightly and gave my vehicle keys back. Upon leaving, my car was still running great only they had RESET the Check Engine Light. (Which I could have done myself) It has been running great as usually for these last 3 months of daily driving... NO problems. SOOOO the question stands....What would my almost $2000 worth of hard earned money have paid for?????? Boy, they would have made a ton off me for doing nothing!!!!!!! *** CONCLUSION *** If you are not under a service warranty....BEWARE THEY WILL CERTAINLY FIND WAYS TO OVER CHARGE YOU.
