I went to Valdosta Toyota looking at financing a 2010 Scion. Not only did they screw over me, but they screwed over my family as well. We tried trading in our 2005 F-150. Brian told us the deal was done Scion. Not only did they screw over me, but they screwed over my family as well. We tried trading in our 2005 F-150. Brian told us the deal was done and he was just waiting on paper work to come through. He let us drive off in a Toyota Tundra on Friday and gave us a call Monday telling us we had to return the truck because paper work wasn't done. He did this twice with two different Tundras. My parents eventually gave up on them. I still had hopes in the Scion, after pulling my credit and telling me I didn't need a down payment they sell the car to someone else before anything could be done. I also told Brian not to run my credit through any banks to try and get approval for a loan until I could get him a check stub from work. Now I have three bank Inquiries on my credit that I did not approve of. Our salesperson Michael did all he could do to get me in a car, Brian is the one who was playing mind games with everyone. I eventually gave up until a salesperson named Tony gave me a call and said he could work something out. I told him he could do that because he sounded certain on getting me financed. I also told him not to bother calling me back if he was going to blow smoke up my a** like Brian did. This was a month ago, still no call. My parents and I have gone elsewhere and purchased a vehicle no problems. More
I have been trying to make a deal with Valdosta Toyota for 1 1/2 weeks. One vehicle had too many miles and the other one was sold (from another dealership) before Valdosta could get the truck. They will n for 1 1/2 weeks. One vehicle had too many miles and the other one was sold (from another dealership) before Valdosta could get the truck. They will not return my phone calls after I have asked them to find me another truck with the same specs. I believe that they lowered the price so much that they can not deliver the goods. They were so easy to deal with and I understand why now. They want to reel you in and then try to make you settle for less. More
I called Valdosta Toyota looking for a suv to purchase. I was really upside down on another vehicle so I needed to find a demo or some thing I could work out a deal on the up side down vehicle I was in. I sp was really upside down on another vehicle so I needed to find a demo or some thing I could work out a deal on the up side down vehicle I was in. I spoke to a sales man who said he had a demo that he could do the deal on with no problem, to come on down. By the time I got to the dealership it was after 7pm and they put together the deal and said they could only do the deal with a thousand dollars down and a high intrest rate. I told them that I could do better with my bank and to give me a copy of the deal and I would get my own financing. They said that it was the last day of the month and I had to take the vehicle that day to get that deal. I told them that was fine but I was not signing the paperwork until I got my own financing with a better rate and no money down. They said that was fine I just had to take the vehicle and sign a purchase agreement, which I did not mind. I knew my bank would not have a problem with giving me a loan for the vehicle. The next day I went to my bank and they gave me a loan at a much better intrest rate with no money down. The dealer sent a man to meet us at the bank to sign some paperwork on their end and to pick up the check from the bank. Done deal? Wrong!! Two weeks laiter a finance woman from the dealer as well as the sailsman who originally worked the deal (Johnathan and Sharron) called and said I still owed them a thousand dollars on the vehicle that I had forgotten to give them a check for my down payment. I reminded them that I did not do their deal that I went with my bank and my bank paid the full amount on the vehicle. They apoligized and sid they had made a mistake. The next day a Robert Fiero (sales manager) called from the dealer and said the deal I had done with the bank had nothing to do with the thousand and I still owed the money. I told him I was sorry there had been a mistake but the mistake was not on my part, that the reason I went with my bank was so I would not have to shell out a down payment. Robert then called me a theif and told me he would not submit my title or tag info till I paid him the money. I notified my bank who called and got the same response that I got from Robert. My bank had to turn the matter over to their lawyers to get the title work done showing them as a lean holder. My bank had to give me a letter to give to the tag office to get a temp tag until my title work was completed becouse my tag was no good. In the end Valdosta Toyota sent in the title work three months after the deal and I got my tag. The truth of the matter was that Valdosta Toyota made a mistake on the purchase price they gave my bank and they thought they could bully me into taking the fall on their mistake. they did not care about losing any further buisness of mine. I was from out of town any ways. I will never do buisness with this dealer or any dealer affiliated with this dealer again. And will tell any one who does to be carefull. More
I had no issue with the salesman I dealt with. Of course he wasn't there to save me tons of money...but I wasn't there to spend hours haggling either. I knew what I was willing to pay and didn't mind if it he wasn't there to save me tons of money...but I wasn't there to spend hours haggling either. I knew what I was willing to pay and didn't mind if it wasn't the deal of the century. What soured me on this dealership was the actual sale. I had already stated that I DID NOT WANT the extended warranty. So imagine my surprise when I'm signing contracts for a loan for 2000 dollars more than I agreed on. 500 was for a GAP policy, 1000 for the extended warranty, and another 500 for some xx called a dock fee. Otherwise known as how-much-more-money-can-we-take fee. When I said I wanted them to take off the extended warranty and GAP policies, I was told that if I didn't accept them, the interest on my loan would have to be increased. Not only was I never told of the addition of all these extra charges but I was then being intimidated by a "gentleman" with the appearance of Santa Claus and personality of a bipolar mental patient. As long as I agreed and signed, he was nice and charming but as soon as I balked at something he immediately started to address me in a belittling attitude. Needless to say, I found out a week later by contacting the finance company that all of that "increase interest" talk was nothing more than manure...plain and simple. So now I am in the process of cancelling the policies and getting some of my money back. In the meantime, I am beyond pissed...not that I lost some money but at the fact that they sat there and lied to my face. Basically committed fraud. God, what I would have given for a taped recording of the conversation. Of course they'll deny it and claim that I misunderstood them. No sweat off my back. It's a lesson learned and it'll be a cold day in xxxx when I buy a car from that place again. They probably charged me extra interest too, but I plan on refinancing with my bank anyways. Buyer beware!!!! More
