We were 45 mi. into our trip to Chicago on a Sunday morning, when service warnings popped up and the A/C stopped working. Returned to home and awaited for Monday AM to run to Val Ward. Dave quickly assessed the problem, got the car into service, kept me informed of the process, explained warranty coverage etc.. Kit and I consider the Val Ward service dept to be among the best that we have expierenced. Our Service Write is Jane Flesh and along with the Loaner car team are the best. I am so very pleased with the work done by the auto body shop on my Cadillac after is was destroyed by Hurricaine Ian. Kudos to the entire auto body staff. We visit SWFL annually. This year during our trip, we received a "service driver assist" message and phoned Val Ward Cadillac for help. We dropped our vehicle off, and aft This year during our trip, we received a "service driver assist" message and phoned Val Ward Cadillac for help. We dropped our vehicle off, and after about 2.5 hours, we were called back into the service center. They were not able to fix our Escalade (with a program reset), but suggested we start with replacing our windshield, and then possibly a new front/windshield camera. We paid the nearly $200 invoice, and left. They did wash our car, for us. I do want to acknowledge that. Not a detail. Just a standard exterior car wash. (For $191.61) Upon our return back home, we were able to have our Escalade serviced at our local authorized Cadillac dealer/service center. They "scanned codes" and reset the program, and fixed my car's issue in about an hour and a half, for $92.80. I felt like Val Ward Cadillac should have been able to easily assist us with this issue, and I also felt completely taken advantage of, after the fact. We will continue to visit SWFL, however, I would never recommend this service center to anyone. More
I own a 2007 Escalade EXT, service by Val Ward since 2014. They replaced my steering box just before a trip up north in August 2020. Half-way to our destination I lost steering. On-Star towed the vehicle to a Cadillac dealer in Hilton Head, who said the tie rod bolts had not been installed by Val Ward. The rod geometry is such that the rods are held down by gravity but the left wheel's rod became unseated on a rough road. Val Ward claimed they could not have failed to install the bolts. Their service, the trip's gas receipts, the OnStar towing, and the Cadillac service in Hilton Head are all documented. Val Ward compensated most of my out of pocket extra costs through a nominal cash amount and an allowance on future service, but their refusal to accept responsibility, together with their refusal to consider simple quality control steps to prevent a recurrence is unprofessional. Subsequent letters to the owner, Trey Ward have not been answered. Bush league performance by Ward and his personnel. More
